That’s all right, and thanks Meghan. That’s good to hear about the characters though, sometimes it can take the first book just to get in the rhythm of the story can’t it? 🙂

Thank you Beth! I don’t blame you! I hope, that when you get them, you enjoy them! 😀 Yes! At first the characters were rocky, but I’m glad I stuck around because with time they got better! 🙂

I only read your review for the first of these books (don’t want to risk spoilers for the rest of the trilogy) but this sounds like a great read. Granted it’s a shame the characters weren’t well written enough to carry the concept but is that something that improves in the other books?
Great review, and I’m definitely going to add these to my TBR list. 🙂 ❤️
