Wow I guess if it’s a book set over 20 years the character development needs to be strong. I’m glad it turned out that way and wasn’t a disappointment or anything! Thanks for the warning, if I get around to the book or film soon I’ll need to remember that! 🙂

Thanks Beth! It’s over the course of close to 20 years so the character development is extremely strong! You should definitely check it out, or check the movie out. I have to warn you though as much as the book is sad, the movie was worse!

It is a sweet book, really? It is, but it also fills in the blanks. Like each chapter is the same day in a different year and we get a little catch up, a little background. It’s one of the reasons I love it so! 🙂

Flashback Fridays sound fun! One Day sounds like a sweet book, this is the first time I’m hearing about it. Is it just the story of what happens on that same day every year? That’s a neat concept.

Great review for this book Meghan. I’m only really aware of this one because of the film that was released (which I haven’t seen as is actually) but it does sound like an interesting book. I’ve never really come across another story that’s focuses on one day over the course of a few years. I imagine it makes it an interesting read in terms of the character development.
