The Awesome Blogger Award II

Hi guys! Happy Thursday! Today I’m going to be doing the Awesome Blogger Award for the second time. Thank you to Lauren @Narrative Paradise for tagging me, you all should be following her… her ability to come up with these witty, yet head scratcher questions is amazing!

The award was created by Maggie @Dreaming of Guatemala. This is an award for the absolutely wonderful writers all across the blogging world. They have beautiful blogs, are kind and lovely, and always find a way to add happiness and laughter to the lives of their readers. That is what truly defines an awesome blogger.

Do you prefer friends-to-lovers or enemies-to-lovers?

I’m going to go with enemies to lovers, there’s always so much passion, whether they’re hating each other or loving each other.

Do you prefer Defeat Means Friendship or Redemption Equals Death?

Hmm, I’m extreme so I’m going to say Redemption Equals Death because I like seeing that someone has seen how wrong they are, and watching their torment to change their ways, even if it means death.

Do you prefer fantasy romance (i.e., a romance with a fantasy setting) or romantic fantasy (i.e., a fantasy novel with a romantic subplot)?

Well, I don’t like romance as a genre so I’m going to go with a romantic fantasy, where the romance is the subplot because then it doesn’t dominate the whole novel.

Do you prefer unexpected death or unexpected betrayal?

Oooh great question! I’m going to go with unexpected death because that usually gets me a lot more than a betrayal, but betrayals are usually pretty good too!

Do you prefer a boring protagonist or a prickly protagonist?

Oh definitely a prickly protagonist! They have character if they’re prickly… as I’ve used this term to describe myself I love prickly! 😂

What’s your favourite trope?

Hmm, this is good because I can’t think of anything… WHY is my mind going blank. Reading about a unlikely hero always makes for a fun read.

Or strong friendships and supportive family… I love reading those too!

What’s your least favourite trope?

Can I classify girl hate as a trope? Because I cannot stand it when it’s used as a plot to get with someone. UGH.

That and love triangles… meh.

Sequel, prequel, or spin-off? (This is not specifically related to Star Wars; you CAN talk about Star Wars if you want.)

Ha, sorry to disappoint you Lauren, but I won’t be talking about Star Wars… don’t hate me! I think I’m going to go with sequel. Sometimes it’s nice to see where the characters ended up, spin-offs can be great, but then they can go on for too long, and ehh prequels I find sometimes really unnecessary.

Please enjoy this BB8 gif 👍🏼

Action, description, or dialogue?

Oooh another great question, hmm I love some good description, ah but dialogue! I can’t decide… Lauren, why are you making me decide?!?!?!? UGH if I have to, description.

Be honest: do you hate character outfit descriptions or nah?

HA! This feels hella random, but I don’t hate it. If it’s added great, if it’s not I’m not torn about it. You know, I’ve never really thought about it until now haha!

Alright, since I did this tag last month I gunna recycle some of those questions… and I’m going to steal some of Lauren’s questions… because they’re good questions:

  1. Who or what are you most grateful for in life?
  2. Who is your favourite musician/band/singer?
  3. What would you like to be remembered for?
  4. Do you prefer Bookstagram or Book Twitter? Share your social links.
  5. Random question: do you have a specific mug for specific beverages? Ex. a mug only for coffee, a mug only for tea, etc.? (I can’t be the only one!)
  6. Sequel, prequel, or spin-off?
  7. Do you prefer a boring protagonist or a prickly protagonist?
  8. Do you prefer unexpected death or unexpected betrayal?
  9. What’s your favourite trope?
  10. What’s your least favourite trope?

Again, no pressure, feel free to do this if you weren’t tagged, or feel free to ignore me!

  1. Ugh yes, girl hate always bothers me. i’m all for strong female friendships instead, and I feel like we get way too little of these in stories. Hopefully we can get more and more of these instead of useless, annoying girl hate 😦
