Hello everyone, today I’m diving back into non-fiction to review Val McDerid’s book Forensics.
I have to say, non-fiction always has a way of wowing me because it’s so incredibly fascinating!
Forensics by: Val McDermid: Diving deep into the matter of what bugs, burns, prints, and DNA can teach about crime is fascinating yet a little disturbing, as it’s subject matter is of the dead. McDermid’s essay like book about forensics is written at a pace that anyone can enjoy and begin to learn and understand the concepts behind forensics. Although he does jump a bit from topic to topic at times, he does manage to keep a consistent flow and presentation of information. It’s interesting to read about actual cases and real people. His book also included images of some of the people, places and objects in reference to what he talks about, which gives this book more than just your regular informative non-fiction book. This is definitely for the science nerd, or for anyone who is curious about learning new things, because this book definitely teaches a thing or two.
