Hi friends, happy Monday and if you’re Canadian, Happy Thanksgiving! Today I’m going to be posting my review of Jenny Han’s novel To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by: Jenny Han: Lara Jean has a love letter for every boy she’s ever loved but when they get mailed out without her permission this turns her world upside down. This brings some of the boys forward and Lara Jean is left to figure out how to deal with her past crushes. Old feelings rise to the surface, new feelings begin to form, emotions run high as everyone tries to safeguard their heart. This novel was so loveable; everything from the plot to the characters were so well written and given great care. The overall plot was exciting and the reader didn’t know where the story was going to go. There were so many little twists and turns that changed outcomes throughout the story that the reader just wanted more. The fake dating plot was undeniably the cutest and watching that friendship bloom was so heartwarming. Han’s characters were just the sweetest; they all had this charm to them that even when the reader wanted to hate them, they couldn’t. There was so much emotion in this novel and watching the dynamics of sisterhood, friendship and lovers just felt so raw and real. There was something so relatable to the way Lara Jean interacted with all of the characters that just made the reader want to get lost in their world and never leave. The way this novel ended wasn’t quite a cliff hanger, but the reader desperately wants to find out where Lara Jean’s story is going to go. Filled with love, friendship, and heartbreak this was a fun and entertaining start to this trilogy.
