Review: Very Good Lives

Hello! Welcome to February! Holy how did we get here so fast? I thought I start out the week with a positive post. Today I’m going to be reviewing J.K. Rowling’s commencement speech Very Good Lives: The Fringe Benefits of Failure and the Importance of Imagination.

Very Good Lives

Very Good Lives by: J.K. Rowling: This book is the commencement speech Rowling delivered to the Harvard graduates of 2008. It’s an inspiring speech of failure and how failure in life is a good thing, as well as having an imagination. Drawing from her own experiences Rowling tells a tale and paints a picture with her words of how failure has been apart of her own life. Through this speech the reader can grasp that life will throw you curve balls, and that’s okay. It also described that we all as a collective have power to change things for the better, and that we don’t need magic for it to happen. This book is a highly recommended read for a little feel good read, and to make the reader think about their future.
