WWW Wednesday #16 🌎

Hello friends! Welcome back to another WWW Wednesday! I thought this would be a fun way to see a snapshot of what I’m reading!

I hope you’re all continuing to stay safe. Happy Earth Day! Today is a beautiful sunny day here; no snow, no rain, no hail, just sun! It’s still cool, but I’m hoping for some warmth soon!

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

The Stand: I’m 29% of the way through; Wooo! Look at me, I got a chapter that was over 20 pages!!!! It really let us into Larry’s character to see who he is and who he wants to be. I always really like chapters that involve Frannie so I’m excited to see where her character is going to go.
Specials: I’m 59% of the way through; I’m really curious about this New Smoke place that Tally is trying to find; that is what is keeping me going, I think what made this series so good to start got lost along the way.
Lastly I’m reading Chain of Gold by: Cassandra Clare… yep my trash read haha! I’m actually really enjoying this. I don’t know, Clare has this way of writing long books, but they don’t feel long. I’m hoping to finish this tonight!

*I also want to add here that I’m reading Emma by: Jane Austen… I was hoping to finish it before April 1… but that wasn’t the case so I’m “currently” reading it, but it’s on hold for the time being.

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?

I finished my fourth O.W.L. last week with Oliver Twist by: Charles Dickens. This was not my cup of tea… I just finished writing my review of it and yeah, I just didn’t care for it. I thought I would really enjoy it, but turns out it wasn’t the case. It was very dense which made it hard for me to read. I really hoped to enjoy it.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT?

With O.W.L.S readathon happening this month, (yay!) I’ve had to shape the books I have to fit the prompts. Since I didn’t think Jessica Cluess’ book A Shadow Bright and Burning fit the witches prompt I’m going to sneak in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (Slytherin Edition) in before the month is over.

I’m keeping Anger is a Gift by: Mark Oshiro here just in case I get to it.

What are you all reading?

    1. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the TV series, I’ll be getting to the adaptations when I finish the book!
I’m reading the Uncut edition that was released in 1990! I figured why read the original and then re-read the uncut edition, I’ll just read it once!

  1. How do you manage to not get confused between your books? I’m always amazed at how many books you have on the go at the one time. I couldn’t manage at all. It’s one book and one book alone at a time for me 😊😊

    1. Magic? 😝
No, I don’t really know! I read my Stephen King book once a week, and I make notes as I go with that one so that helps with keeping track of that. Then I’ve been reading Specials a chapter every day… that isn’t holding my attention much, but I still have the gist of the story… then my main book.
Haha, I’m glad I can amaze you though! 😂

    1. Right?! I was just telling my friend that even though her books are long, I find they are very fast-paced and they don’t feel as long as they look!
I also told my friend that I don’t know why I’m surprised to find I enjoyed it haha, it seems the majority of her books I’ve just devoured.
YAY indeed!! That’s so exciting! I can’t wait to read your wrap up for your OWLS! 😀

    1. Oh haha, thank you! 🙂
I’ve been doing it for years so I’ve gotten very good at it!
Yes, you’ll see in my update this week, I’m starting to restore my faith in the series!
