Hi everyone! Happy Monday! 🙂 Today I’m going to be reviewing Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
Dracula by: Bram Stoker: Jonathan Harker has gone to meet Count Dracula, a vampire, as Dracula is buying property in London and needs Harker’s help. While at Dracula’s castle weird things start to happen and Harker is unsure what to do. Meanwhile, Lucy, a family friend gets sick with some sort of disease that leaves red marks on her throat and it’s Professor Van Helsing who claims to be a vampire expert that Dracula must be killed. What a story this is, it was entertaining, yet a little frightening in all the right spots. The novel started off a little on the slow side and when the plot was good, it was good; when the plot got dull and boring, it was dry as sandpaper. Luckily it was just the beginning that went through this period and the rest of the novel was smooth sailing. The style in which Stoker decided to write this also intrigued the reader, as it’s supposed to read like true events. The characters were good, memorable and fascinating to read. Overall, for a classic it was gripping storytelling.
I want to read this one >.< sometimes I'm scared that I will get toooo boring like many classics do, but I think I will give it a try, now im prepared for a slow start and some dull moments 🙂 Thank you 😀

Nice review! I agree with you about the writing style of Dracula; it’s quite unique, and does make everything seem just a little more real
