Movie Review: How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

Hi guys! Happy Friday! I’m happy it’d Friday… Friyay! 😄 Today I’m going to be posting my thoughts on the movie How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.

I thought I’d reviewed the first film in this trilogy, but maybe I didn’t. If you’re curious about my thoughts on the second film, I have some in a blog post titled: March Movies: Kid Zone.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World: There’s a dragon hunter, dead-set on hunting the last of the dragons for himself. When Hiccup remembers talk of a Hidden World to take them, everyone thinks he’s crazy, but if they don’t do something and quickly, the dragon race could be eliminated. This was such a wonderful, and well told story. This felt like the perfect way to end a trilogy. The overall plot to this film was engaging an incredibly heartwarming. The film starts off pretty predictable; the viewer can see what’s to come for the first hour or so into the film, but come to that ending, that was something else. It was so moving and touching to see. It truly made it an ending to remember. The whole hidden world sequence was so beautifully put together, the colours and the animation was all so well done. It was definitely something to see. Not only was this a fun movie for kids, but a wonderful movie for adults on true friendship, and love. This is definitely a worth-while film if you’ve seen the past two films, but it also stands really well on its own too.
