Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Worlds I’d Want to/Never Want to Live In

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday, I’m back at it again with another Top Ten Tuesday. Today’s topic is: Bookish Worlds I’d Want to/Never Want to Live In. Let’s get into it! 🙂

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s topic is: Bookish Worlds I’d Want to/Never Want to Live In. I’m going to split this into 5 worlds I’d want to live in; 5 worlds I’d never want to live in.

Bookish Worlds I’d Want to Live In:

  1. Hogwarts. The most obvious answer out there!
  2. The Grisha World. I’d love to go there probably to just meet the characters, ha!
  3. Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. Who wouldn’t want to go to a chocolate factory?
  4. Percy Jackson’s Olympus. I would love to be there, and be a demigod!
  5. The Diviners World. Magic. 1920s. Need I say more?

Bookish Worlds I Wouldn’t Want to Live In:

  1. The Hunger Games. I would not want any part of that- none whatsoever. I would die.
  2. The Divergent World. Nope, wouldn’t want that world either.
  3. Game of Thrones World. Well, as much as I’d love to go there, I don’t think I’d stay alive very long since everyone gets killed off.
  4. The Gone World. A world where kids are stuck in a dome and they grow into these superpowers… how about no? I’d rater not.
  5. The Maze Runner World. Yeah that world is definitely not for me!

And there you have it. What worlds would not live/live in?

    1. Right! The closest I’ll ever be to Hogwarts is either the Wizarding World in Orlando or the studios in London where they filmed.
Haha, right! I want to believe that I can face the challenges a dystopian novel has to throw at me, but if I’m being real I wouldn’t make it!

  1. Oh my god Game of Thrones, I can’t believe I forgot that on my list this week because it should have been number one. If I ever ended up there I feel like I’d be dead within the hour.
On the other hand Hogwarts is at the other end of my list, I’d give anything to be able to visit that world! 😀
Great picks for this week Meghan. 🙂 ❤️
