Hello! Today I’m going to be reviewing the Immortals series by Alyson Noel!

This wasn’t one of my favourite series, as predictable as it got it was still pretty entertaining.

Evermore by: Alyson Noel: The first novel in the Immortals series. Ever is just a teenager trying to live a normal life when her life is anything but normal. For one she can see people’s colour auras, and hear their thoughts. It isn’t until she meets the boy she’s destined to love that she can make it all go away, and maybe even become immortal too. The novel took a really long time to get into. It was really boring at the beginning, once you hit past half way through was when it got really good. It got the reader hooked so you can get ready for the next novel that’s to come. Overall, not the greatest novel, the plotline has been seen before so it’s not original, but it still has something that keeps you reading.

Blue Moon by: Alyson Noel: The second novel in the Immortals series. Things have gone astray in Ever’s life. Her love life has fallen apart, her friends have abandoned her, and she’s all-alone. That’s all because of a new kid, Roman. He’s dead set on making her life a living hell, which sucks when you’re immortal. The novel was fast paced with many chapters. The overall plotline, was a bit predictable, but overall, it wasn’t that bad to read. It kept the reader entertained. The ending was somewhat happy, but the story isn’t over yet, there is definitely more to come.

Shadowland by: Alyson Noel: The third novel in the Immortals series. In this novel new characters come into play and old ones cause new dramas. Ever thinks her destiny is to be with Damen, but maybe she’s not supposed to be. A place called Shadowland is introduced, which is a place for lost souls where Ever is forced to make a choice, keeping her best friend Haven alive, but turning her immortal, or sending her to Shadowland. The novel has a lot of the same plotlines that the first two novels had. It was almost predictable what was going to happen. The overall storyline was okay; it had some new developments, but the entire same premise as before. It makes you wonder what is there to keep reading the series?

Dark Flame by: Alyson Noel: The fourth novel in the Immortals series. In this novel, since Ever and her boyfriend, Damien, have been cursed, Ever tries really hard to get the antidote to release them of it. Only everything she tries seems to backfire on her, even when things look like they’re going to get better. This novel’s plotline was a lot better than the first three novels in the series. It wasn’t as cheesy, and predictable, it was actually well thought out, and the reader didn’t see the ending coming, it was very surprising. If you make it to the fourth novel, then you’re in for a treat because it’s well worth the wait to get to!

Night Star by: Alyson Noel: The fifth novel in the Immortals series. Continuing where we left off in the previous novel, Ever is still out searching for the antidote to break the curse that has been put on her and her boyfriend Damen. She’s this close to getting it when things go horribly, horribly wrong, and whole turn of events happens. The whole novel was a big catfight between Ever and her best friend Haven, who after being turned into an immortal, has just turned into a bitch. This novel was a little on the boring side, and a tad bit predictable as to where the end of the catfight would lead. The novel is left on a cliffhanger making readers wait for the last novel in the series, where we’ll find out how this series ends.

Everlasting by: Alyson Noel: The final novel in the Immortals series. That antidote that Ever and Damen have been looking for all along turns up, only when they realize it’s not the answer they’re looking for. The novel is spent on a journey that Ever must take to help not only an immortal, but to help her realize what she truly wants. As much as it is the last novel, the way the author wrote it, it just felt like the end of a chapter in these characters lives and that they’d be back again. The novel didn’t feel like an ending. As well the novel went through a plot twist, so to say, where halfway through a new story takes place about Ever and Damen in another lifetime. It’s a little jarring for the reader to just jump into that story. Overall, it was quiet a cheesy series, though it did have it’s good plots, as well as it’s predictable ones, but if you’re into the supernatural, it could be your new favourite novel.
