Movie Review: Christopher Robin

Hi guys! Happy Friday! Today I’m going to be reviewing the film Christopher Robin.

I think I could watch this movie over and over and over again I thought it was so good, and super adorable. Like, how can you say no to Pooh Bear? He is so adorable!

Christopher Robin: It’s years later and Christopher Robin has long left his imaginary friends behind; now stuck in a job he despises; his creativity has been sucked out of him. It’s his old pal Winnie the Pooh who shows up looking for his friends, and who in the end helps Christopher find the joy in life again. The plot was phenomenal. It really showed the meaning of being creative and getting lost in the everyday once you become an adult; this film took a step back and made the viewer realize that when you do nothing it “often leads to the very best kind of something”. There were lots of references to the books and film adaptations that really transcends with the viewer, especially to those who grew up in the 100 Acre Woods. The live action of the characters was done very well and reminds us what it means to have an imagination. The writing was so well done; it was witty when it needed to be and serious as well. The fact that Pooh bear had the mind of a 3-year old made everything so simple and yet he spoke so philosophical; it was clever and well done. The acting was rich and not overdone; it was just perfect for the film. This film is for the young, the old and everyone in between!

  1. This film sounds amazing Meghan! I really want to see Christopher Robin, Winnie-the-Pooh is a childhood favourite of mine so as soon as I saw the trailer for this film I knew it would be one I had to see myself. I’m really glad you enjoyed this one, just reading your review has made me more excited to watch it myself. 😀
