WWW Wednesday #13 ☀️

Hello friends! Welcome back to another WWW Wednesday! I thought this would be a fun way to see a snapshot of what I’m reading!

I hope you’re all continuing to stay safe. I’m glad it’s April now and I’m feeling hopeful that things will start to get better. I had to go to work yesterday, not going to lie it felt really good to have somewhere to go and just get out of the house. Today was sunny so I went for a walk. I hope you’re all doing okay!

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

The Stand: I’m 23% of the way through; another two chapters that were really, really short and honestly didn’t move the story along whatsoever.
Specials: I’m 5% of the way through; I feel like every one of his books starts off the same way, at a party Tally isn’t supposed to really be at, pretending to be something she’s not. It’s interesting to watch her throughout the novels; the things she wished to be only to not be what she expected.
Lastly I just started (right before blogging actually, that’s why I’m only 9 pages in) Heartless by: Marissa Meyer. This is my first book in the O.W.L.S readathon, and I’ve only read the first chapter but it has to do with baking… I. Am. Sold!

*I also want to add here that I’m reading Emma by: Jane Austen… I was hoping to finish it before April 1… but that wasn’t the case so I’m “currently” reading it, but it’s on hold for the time being.

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?

I finished The Taking of Annie Thorne by: C.J. Tudor. I very much enjoyed this; I enjoy her writing and you can definitely tell that Stephen King was an influence in her writing. This was highly suspenseful, and slightly gruesome. I also finished Pretties by: Scott Westerfeld; what an ending. Shay continues to surprise me; I don’t know what her game truly is but I’m ready to see where their story goes. I unfortuntaly didn’t like it as much as Uglies, but I still enjoyed reading this.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT?

With O.W.L.S readathon happening this month, (yay!) I’ve had to shape the books I have to fit the prompts. I managed to include the last library book I have to fit a prompt:
A Shadow Bright and Burning by: Jessica Cluess.

As for the books I own to fit prompts:
Chain of Cold by: Cassandra Claire, Oliver Twist by: Charles Dickens and Lord of the Flies by William Golding

I’m keeping Anger is a Gift by: Mark Oshiro here just in case I get to it.

What are you all reading?

    1. Oh haha, thanks. It can get a little crazy at times, but for the most part because The Stand is so slow moving I can remember what is happening week to week… plus I write it down!
