Book Personality Challenge

Hi guys! Happy Thursday! Today I’m coming at you with the Book Personality Challenge. I was tagged by Birdie @Birdie Bookworm, thank you so much; this looks like a lot of fun so let’s get started! 😀

What is your MBTI personality type?

PROTAGONIST PERSONALITY (ENFJ, -A/-T)

“Protagonists are natural-born leaders, full of passion and charisma. Forming around two percent of the population, they are oftentimes our politicians, our coaches and our teachers, reaching out and inspiring others to achieve and to do good in the world. With a natural confidence that begets influence, Protagonists take a great deal of pride and joy in guiding others to work together to improve themselves and their community.

People with the Protagonist personality type are passionate altruists, sometimes even to a fault, and they are unlikely to be afraid to take the slings and arrows while standing up for the people and ideas they believe in. It is no wonder that many famous Protagonists are cultural or political icons – this personality type wants to lead the way to a brighter future, whether it’s by leading a nation to prosperity, or leading their little league softball team to a hard-fought victory.”

What is your personality like?

Well from the above, I’m willing to do anything for the people, I’m not really sure about that, but I do like to help others. I find great pleasure in problem solving with others, or just helping them on their way (for instance just helping them get on the right bus).

If you were a character in a book, what would be some of you character strengths and flaws?

Strengths:

Charismatic: Charm and popularity are qualities Protagonists have in spades.” I feel like I could charm the pants off people and that would get me out of a bend.
Reliable:The one thing that galls Protagonists the most is the idea of letting down a person or cause they believe in. If it’s possible, Protagonists can always be counted on to see it through.” This is good when in team settings.

Weaknesses:

Struggle to Make Tough Decisions:If caught between a rock and a hard place, Protagonists can be stricken with paralysis, imagining all the consequences of their actions, especially if those consequences are humanitarian.” Oh gosh, this is me to a T. This would get any character killed.
Too Sensitive:While receptive to criticism, seeing it as a tool for leading a better team, it’s easy for Protagonists to take it a little too much to heart.” I am been told this is in real life, so I can see this also being something that gets me in a bad situation, or you know killed.

Do any authors share your personality type?

Haha no according to this website, a lot of actors though. And I got Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey so I ain’t mad.

What fictional characters share your personality type?

If you were a character in a book, what job would you have?

Apparently anything to help people:

“Protagonists take a genuine interest in other people, approaching them with warm sociability and a helpful earnestness that rarely goes unnoticed. Altruistic careers like social and religious work, teaching, counseling, and advising of all sorts are popular avenues, giving people with the Protagonist personality type a chance to help others learn, grow, and become more independent. This attitude, alongside their social skills, emotional intelligence and tendency to be “that person who knows everybody”, can be adapted to quite a range of other careers as well, making Protagonists natural HR administrators, event coordinators, and politicians – anything that helps a community or organization to operate more smoothly.”

What personality type would complete your OTP?

“Protagonists take dating and relationships seriously, selecting partners with an eye towards the long haul, rather than the more casual approach that might be expected from some types in the Explorer Role group. There’s really no greater joy for Protagonists than to help along the goals of someone they care about, and the interweaving of lives that a committed relationship represents is the perfect opportunity to do just that. Ultimately, Protagonist personality types believe that the only true happiness is mutual happiness, and that’s the stuff successful relationships are made of.”

Well, I can’t really say much to this as I’m single, but apparently I’m desperate for a relationship. I’m not going to lie, relationships are fun, I like being in them, but I also enjoy being single- this just makes me look like I want to be attached to someone all the time, I’m not really sure how I feel about that.

Who are some fictional characters that would complete your OTP?

Reading Birdie’s response to this question makes me laugh because I feel the same way. It didn’t give me a personality I’m best suited with, it just told me I should be in a relationship. So I’m going to take this to mean I can be in a relationship with whoever I want, and that there isn’t a specific personality for me. So with that being said, I like a character like Jace from The Mortal Instruments, he’s broody yet sarcastic. Anyone who is sarcastic speaks my language so yes please.

I have no idea who wants to do this tag, but gosh was it ever informative. I feel like I’ve learned some things about myself, or I guess I should say re-learned since quite a few of these things rang true. Anyways don’t feel pressured to do this, or if you’ve already done it.

  1. Oh thanks so much for this tag Meghan. I’ve never seen this one but I did take the Myer-Briggs test recently so I know what my personality type is already! 😀
I got the Advocate so I wonder if I’ll get something different the second time around, who knows? Barack Obama and Daenerys Targaryen are great people to share a personality with though. Also I loved Jace in The Mortal Instruments, anyone who is sarcastic speaks my language as well! 😀

    1. You’re very welcome I’m glad it’s a tag you haven’t done since you’ve done so many! 😀
      Haha maybe!
Right?! I was surprised to get these resolutes I never would have pegged myself a leader 😛 But that does find it’s way back into my life at times, so maybe I’m a leader and I don’t realize it! 😛

      1. Well I’m always willing to do tags again. But it takes me a while to get around to them because I am so behind at the moment!
A natural leader without being aware of it. I’m sure that is actually a thing so you never know do you. 🙂

  2. Good blog! Keep it up. I got almost the same results of the test and thats why i ended here when i was looking deeper in my “why” in life. Have you figured out your “why” (what your life goal is) or do you know any place to find good guides for it?

    Best regards
    Martin
