WWW Wednesday #14 🌤

Hello friends! Welcome back to another WWW Wednesday! I thought this would be a fun way to see a snapshot of what I’m reading!

I hope you’re all continuing to stay safe. I can’t believe I’m in my fourth week of working from home, where is the time going?! I’m still continuing to be hopeful that things will start looking up soon! 🙂

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

The Stand: I’m 24% of the way through; another two chapters that were short and just let the reader feel the creepiness set in. I’m ready for the action… enough of this slow world building set up!
Specials: I’m 23% of the way through; the plot hasn’t really picked up yet, and the back and forth hate that Shay and Tally have for each other is getting annoying, can they just move on?
Lastly I’m reading A Shadow Bright and Burning by: Jessica Cluess. As you can see, I’m not very far (I haven’t even gotten through the first chapter 😅) but from the first few pages I’m intrigued!

*I also want to add here that I’m reading Emma by: Jane Austen… I was hoping to finish it before April 1… but that wasn’t the case so I’m “currently” reading it, but it’s on hold for the time being.

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?

I finished reading my first O.W.L.S book this past weekend, oh my goodness was Heartless by: Marissa Meyer SO good! I enjoyed every minute of this book. I loved all the aspects; the retelling took on a really cool (in my opinion) aspect to the original story . The ending was a little strange, but overall 100% would recommend!
I also finished Lord of the Flies by: William Golding last night. It was definitely a weird, crazy adventure and definitely not something I would have picked up on my own. My brother actually recommended this to me, plus it helped for a prompt in my O.W.L.S.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT?

With O.W.L.S readathon happening this month, (yay!) I’ve had to shape the books I have to fit the prompts. The last two books I have to read for my O.W.L.S are: Chain of Cold by: Cassandra Claire and Oliver Twist by: Charles Dickens

I’m keeping Anger is a Gift by: Mark Oshiro here just in case I get to it.

What are you all reading?
