Review: We Were Liars

Hello, today I’m going to be reviewing E. Lockhart’s novel We Were Liars.

We Were Liars

We Were Liars by: E. Lockhart: Cadence Sinclair is the main character in this novel where she spends all her summers on an island with her rich family, and her cousins who are called the liars. One summer, summer fifteen, something bad happens, but Cadence can’t seem to remember; she hit her head and has suffered memory loss. Throughout the novel the reader gets a sense of what has happened, just as the main character starts to put the pieces together. The very end is where it all fits together, and it makes for a bit of a shock. The plotline was great, very readable, and the characters were written really well because you just wanted to hate some of them. Overall, it was a well-written piece of work about family issues, and tragedy.
