Review: I’ll Give You the Sun

Hello, today I’m going to be reviewing Jandy Nelson’s I’ll Give You the Sun.

I’ll Give You the Sun

I’ll Give You the Sun by: Jandy Nelson: Jude and Noah are twins, and are super close. They are both artists in their own way. The death of their mother brings out the worst in them until fate brings Jude to a drunken artist who happened to be their mother’s lover. That’s when both Jude and Noah learn the real truth about who their mother was. Jude finds love in an unexpected place, while Noah struggles with love being a gay teenager. The novel is told in the point of view as Noah at 14, before, and the time when their mother died, and as Jude at 16, which is supposed to be current time. It’s a very fate heavy novel, that is not predictable in any way, but it feels too good to be true. Everything ends happily ever after, which is somewhat cheesy. Overall, the novel is good read filled with plot twists, and great character development.
