Hi everyone! I’m finally all caught up with the Fast series (it took me some time to watch Furious 7, R.I.P Paul Walker) but I have finally watched it, and am now caught up, so now I can talk about the movies, let’s go!

I really love this series. I’m not one for action packed, car chasing movies, but this series is just so good. Between the acting, the love the characters (and the actors) have for each other, and the fast cars it’s really fun and super entertaining. I was introduced to this series late, I started with the sixth movie and that left me confused as hell, but it just made me want to go back and watch them all. And they were all so good, some better than others, but still really good. I suggest anyone to watch these because I think there is something in these films for everyone, whether it be the fast cars, the hot girls/guys, the romance, the action, I swear these films have it all.

The Fast and The Furious: The first movie in the Fast & Furious series, where we learn who the characters are and their story. The beginning is very slow at getting started because we have to meet characters. They could have done it a little faster, but for the first movie it’s alright because the viewer needs to establish who’s who. The film is based around Paul Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner, who is an undercover cop posing as a racing team member who finds himself caught in the cross fire. The leader of the group, Vin Diesel’s character, Dom Toretto, thinks there is an impostor  amoung them, which leads to a showdown. The movie proceeds with racing and a lot of action, with hot men/women. The film was highly interesting, and intense. The plotline was great, and it had viewers guessing what would happen next. Visually, it was 2001 the clothing was funny to look back at, but at the time quiet popular, but the cars and the racing were fun to watch.

2 Fast 2 Furious: The second movie in the Fast & Furious series. This time a lot of the characters from the previous movie are not around, just Brian O’Conner who is now an ex-cop, trying to restart his life in Miami. He becomes involved in the street racing team in this city where he meets Tej, played by Ludacris. Things all change when Brian gets arrested, and is made a deal with the FBI: he must work with Roman Pearce, who is played by Tyrese, to go undercover to catch a couple of powerful drug dealers. During this movie you can’t forget about the fast cars and the racing. The movie was action packed, and was a little bit better then the first one because it moved along faster. This movie had more of a witty comedy side to it, especially since Tyrese joined the cast, as he’s comic relief for the film, which the first film lacked. Overall the film was shot well, and dialogue is what added to this film.

The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift: The third movie in the Fast & Furious series. This time we’re in Tokyo. When Sean gets into trouble for ruining a car that he was street racing in, he is sent to live with his father in Tokyo. He is not to touch, or go near a car, but what does he do? Oh you know, hangs with the kids who are the street racers obviously. This movie has completely different set of characters in it. What really made this film was the visuals. It was visually appealing because of the fast cars, and how nice the cars looked, but otherwise the plot was boring, and somewhat predictable. It was also not very original and the dialogue pretty much sucked. None of the characters said anything that the viewer didn’t already know. It was like being spoon fed what was going to happen, even though it was predicted, and already fully drawn out. The film felt like it dragged on, but the plus side, at least viewers got to look at nice cars while it dragged on!

Fast & Furious 4: The fourth movie in the Fast & Furious series. This time around, a crime brings them back to the streets of Los Angeles, where Brian has to work with Dom to take down a heroin importer. The two have to learn to work together as a team as they have an enemy in common. This leads to them having to trust one another to take the enemy down. Using their racing abilities the guys go head-to-head with the enemy. The film showed a lot of stunts as well as a lot of racing. The film wasn’t as gripping as the other films in the past have been, but it did have moments where the film moved the viewer. The visuals were all very appealing, but the film was longer than it really needed to be. Overall, it wasn’t the best movie out of the whole series, but it plays a crucial role for the movies to come in the future.

Fast Five: The fifth film in the Fast & Furious series. Brian and his girlfriend, (Dom’s sister) Mia Toretto, have to bust Dom out of jail. Now they’re on the move from the cops, they have one final job they must do before they are free. The team gets together in Rio de Janeiro, where they get together to confront a corrupt businessman who wants them dead. They must do this before the federal agent finds them, Dwyane Johnson’s character. It’s an intense movie filled with high chases, and fast cars, as per the films before this one. What makes this one different is the plot. It was well orchestrated, and it was executed really well too. They always like to say “one last ride” but the viewer knows they are going to come back. Some sort of trouble is going to cause the team to get back together for another “last ride”. But that’s all part of the fun of these movies, you never know what will happen next. As for this film, it was a thrill seeking film, with flawless dialogue.

Fast & Furious 6: The next installment to the Fast & Furious series full of hot men, women, fast cars, and a whole lot of action. When the guys find out that Dom’s wife Letty is actually alive, but working for the bad guys, it’s time to get her back. Also Hobbs is dealing with gang of skilled drivers, drivers that Dom knows. Hobbs asks Dom and his team for help taking them down. As always it involves fast cars, and speed chases to get Letty back. It’s also full of speeding to catch the bad guy. The movie is full of action, and witty remarks from the characters that make it very enjoyable. The plot was great, and the actors who played the characters did a fantastic job, as always. For a sixth film in a series that has the same premies as the previous films, the writers and directors managed to make this film enjoyable and not boring, or unoriginal. It feels like with each passing film new stunts are introduced, and that leads for an entertaining viewing experience.

Furious 7: The seventh installment to the Fast & Furious series. Deckard Shaw is after the riders because they defeated his brother. Back for revenge he starts to take them out one by on. It isn’t until Hobbs, and Dom get the blast that they figure out, this war needs to be settled. A government agent “Mr. Nobody” offers to help Dom in exchange they help rescue a kidnapped hacker, Ramsay. This film is filled with so much action, the viewer is left in wonder what can possibly happen next. From car chases to falling out of a plane in a car, yeah that happens, this film definitely did not fall short; in fact it was better than anticipated. These movies aren’t so much about the plot as it is about the fast cars, and the incredible stunts, but some plots are just really well written. All the romance plot lines are so well done, they aren’t forced in just to please, they actually fit and find a way into the viewers hearts, that is if you’ve been watching from the start. At last, can’t talk about this movie, without talking about the tribute to Paul Walker. It was very well and beautifully done. It really took a look at how his character, Brian O’Conner, played a big role in the series. He will surely be missed as both a character, and talented actor.
