Review: Pride and Prejudice

Hi, and welcome to throwback Thursday! Today I’m going to be re-reviewing Jane Austen’s novel Pride and Prejudice.

Read: October 2013
Rating: 3 Stars

Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice by: Jane Austen: The story of the Bennet family, though mostly focusing on Elizabeth. They have five daughters and Mrs. Bennet wants them all to be married. Throughout the novel we see that some do, while others have trouble finding themselves husbands to support them. Elizabeth says no to almost everyone who asks her, her eyes are set for Mr. Darcy. It’s a complicated turn of events but maybe they end up together. The story was told in no ones perspective so the reader felt like they were sitting in. Characters were introduced as they appeared in the story, which made it hard to figure out who was who. But overall it was a beautiful love story.

    1. I did like it, that’s my rating on Goodreads which 3 stars on that site means ‘I liked it’. From what I remember reading since it was a while ago, I just found it hard to get into the plot at times, but overall I did enjoy the story.
I wrote this review almost three years ago, I haven’t bothered to re-write any of my tbt reviews, because that was my opinion when I read it.

      1. Oh gosh let me try and remember, I think it was the way it was written that sometimes a plot would be more interesting than another, and the ones that I didn’t find as interesting I would pay less attention to.
