My Twitter Party Review: Eclipse

Hello everyone, happy Wednesday, I hope you’re all having a good week. Today I bring you my review and rantings of the third Twilight book, Eclipse.

Eclipse

Eclipse by: Stephanie Meyer: The threat is far from over, just when Bella thinks things can go back to normal, attacks keep happening in and around her area. This is when they find out that Victoria is back and has created newborn vampires to help take Bella down. Now in order to protect Bella, the vampires and werewolves have to come together for the first time to fight off this threat. This novel was slow, it was long, and half of it felt irrelevant. The overall plot sounds like it would be really interesting and entertaining, but the reader spends most chapters buried under a love triangle that hopelessly goes nowhere. Then when the plot gets to the real meat and potatoes of it all, it lasts five minutes and goes back into the ridiculous love triangle. Why make the set up for this insane battle so lengthily if the battle is going to last less than a chapter? The characters really haven’t developed much, and they’re reactions to storylines, mainly the love triangles, were horrible. There are so many red flags, and horrible treatment of women by men it was really hard to read. The way this novel ended felt like it could have been the end to this series, but of course it’s not the end, and there is still more to come.
