End of the Year Book Tag

Hello! Happy Thursday! Today I’m going to be participating in the End of the Year Book Tag… I can’t believe we’re nearing the end of the year, where did this year go? I was tagged by Kiara @The Nerdy Bibliophile. Thanks so much girl! Definitely check her blog out! πŸ˜€

This tag was created by Ariel Bisset. You can check out her original video rightΒ here.

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

At this point in time, just The Shining by Stephen King. I started in May, and I counted it out (at the rate I’m going, 2 chapters a week) I’ll finish it December 15! So look out for that post coming in December!

Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

Nope. I’m not much of a ‘seasonal reader’. I read whatever, whenever. The only book I have a reserved time of year to read is The Picture of Dorian Gray… in which I read every May.

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

Hahahaha

No, I’m still reading books from my 2016 list… I’m almost through… almost.

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

I don’t have anything specific set out. Other than The Shining, which I already mentioned, I don’t have too much planned. I also plan to have The Outsiders re-read, which I’m buddy reading with the lovely Jenna! πŸ˜€

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?

That would require me to know what I’m going to read for the rest of the year!
I’ve consulted my list that I’ve been reading off of, I really want to love My Lady Jane by: Cynthia and Nevernight by: Jay Kristoff.

Have you already started making reading plans for 2020?

Again, hehehehehe

Nope. When it comes to my reading, I’m not much of a planner. I set a goal to what I think is achievable and (so far) I’m managed to hit them. Otherwise planning to read makes me stressed out! I don’t need that in my life!

  1. I’m so with you Meghan! I can’t plan to read either. Far too stressful plus I’m far too moody for a set TBR. I just have to read with the flow lol!!

  2. I’m not really planner either.
My wishlist really got out of hand though, so i basically just wrote a reminder for myself about books i defo want to read and not forget πŸ˜€ Have around 100 titles, categorized as “urgent” πŸ˜€

  3. I’m not much of a seasonal reader either, rather I’m a mood reader so I never know what I’ll be in the mood to read each season! πŸ˜‚ I also don’t make elaborate reading plans. I just set a number of books I want to read on Goodreads and I lower it at the end of the year if I’m behind. I don’t need to stress myself out with making complicated reading goals! πŸ˜‚ Great post!

    1. Oooh yeah, if you’re a mood reader that wouldn’t work for picking seasonal books!
That’s me exactly! Pick a number and try to reach it… so far I’ve been able to accomplish it! I hope you reach your goodreads goal… if you haven’t already! πŸ™‚
