First Impression Friday: Tweet Cute by: Emma Lord

Hello! Happy Friday! I can’t believe we’re inching towards the end of February already! Today I’m coming at you with another First Impression Friday, this week talking about Tweet Cute by Emma Lord.

This meme was created by J.W. Martin @Storeys of Stories and the rules are quite simple:

Based on this sampling of your current read, give a few impressions
and predict
what you’ll think by the end.
• Did you think you’d love and ended up hating it? Or did you think you’d hate it and wound up loving it? Or were you exactly right?
• Link back to Storeys of Stories so I can enjoy reading all the
First Impression Fridays out there!

Meet Pepper, swim team captain, chronic overachiever, and all-around perfectionist. Her family may be falling apart, but their massive fast-food chain is booming ― mainly thanks to Pepper, who is barely managing to juggle real life while secretly running Big League Burger’s massive Twitter account.

Enter Jack, class clown and constant thorn in Pepper’s side. When he isn’t trying to duck out of his obscenely popular twin’s shadow, he’s busy working in his family’s deli. His relationship with the business that holds his future might be love/hate, but when Big League Burger steals his grandma’s iconic grilled cheese recipe, he’ll do whatever it takes to take them down, one tweet at a time.

All’s fair in love and cheese ― that is, until Pepper and Jack’s spat turns into a viral Twitter war. Little do they know, while they’re publicly duking it out with snarky memes and retweet battles, they’re also falling for each other in real life ― on an anonymous chat app Jack built.

As their relationship deepens and their online shenanigans escalate ― people on the internet are shipping them?? ― their battle gets more and more personal, until even these two rivals can’t ignore they were destined for the most unexpected, awkward, all-the-feels romance that neither of them expected.

Goodreads synopsis.

I just cracked this open this morning and I’ve met both main characters. I like that Pepper runs a food blog with her sister, I don’t know that stood out to me, haha! Jack is kinda just meh for right now. I’m 28 pages in so I’ve still got a lot more to find to love (or hate? Who knows).

As of right now though, I’m hoping I can love this and rate it a good 4 stars.

Have you read this novel? What did you think of it?

    1. Ha! Thanks for your cynicism 😂
I’m very close to finishing and I already know it’s not 4 stars… I’m liking it, but there are things I’m just not totally down with, as I’m sure you know. Did you write a review? Link it, so I can read it… I want to know your thoughts… I’m sure it’s hilarious too 😂
