Liebster Award

Hello, today I’m posting something a little different. I was awarded with this, and I would love to thank aubreysbooknook for the nomination. It is very kind and sweet. So here it goes!

The Rules

  1. Once you are nominated, make a post, thank the blogger who presented this award, and link back to their blog.
  2. Nominate 11 (smaller) bloggers (try to keep under 300 followers). You may have to go hunting for these blogs, the idea is to find new blogs and share them with the community. Let them know they have been nominated by commenting on their blog.
  3. Answer the 11 question that the presenter asked you.
  4. Write 11 questions for the bloggers you nominated to answer.
  5. Lastly, COPY these rules in the post.

Questions For Me

  1. Besides reading and blogging, what is your favourite thing to do in your free time?

Does writing count? I like to write fiction, one day maybe write a novel. I’ve recently gotten really into listening to podcasts, and so those have become an integral part of my days.

2. What is your favourite day of the week and why?

I don’t really think I have a favourite per sae, I like Thursdays. I don’t really know why, it’s really close to Friday, and it always has a good vibe to it.

3. What is your favourite genre to read?

I read everything, so to put a label on a favourite it hard. Anything with a good mystery is fun to read. Novels that have a bit of a thrill to them are always fun.

4. If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, what book would you choose?

Geez, I don’t know- maybe a Harry Potter novel, that sounds too cliched, possibly Fan Girl, I really loved that novel, and it made me very inspired to write- my second love.

5. If you had to choose between reading only series or only stand-alones for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

I seem to only read series these days, I can’t remember the last time I read a stand-alone novel. So I guess I could continue the rest of my life reading series.

6. If you could spend one day with any character you wanted from a book, which would you choose and why?

I’d like to spend the day with Dorian Gray (from a Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde). He sounds like such a peculiar character, and one that has always fascinated me. He never grows old! Wouldn’t that be fun to chat with someone like that?

7. If you had the ability to travel anywhere (on earth, but money isn’t an issue), where would you go?

Well, I’d really like to travel to Dublin, Ireland. Visit some family roots. It would be quite an experience.

8. Where do you see your blog in 5 years?

Hopefully still kicking around! I strive for people to read my work, but if I don’t become this big blog, I’m not worried. My life isn’t ruled by numbers.

9. Why did you start blogging?

I needed somewhere to place all my thoughts. I used to have a site that held it all, but it recently went under some renovations, so the site isn’t user based anymore, and all the content that existed prior has been wiped. Eight years of my life- gone poof. But that is why I started this blog- long story short.

10. What is your favourite types of blog posts to make/ read?

I like reading reviews, I like reading what other people thought of a novel I’ve read. The Top 10 Tuesday ones are fun to read.

11. What is your favourite fandom?

Cliched answer, but Harry Potter 😛

I Nominate:

Heart Full of Books, Sue’s Reading Corner, Come Hither Books, CK’s Reading Corner#LoveBooks, Addlepates and Book Nerds, The Enchanted Book

(I’ve only nominated 7 because most of the blogs I follow have over 300 followers)

  1. Thanks for the nomination! I actually have over 300, but it’s so difficult to find people who don’t 🙂 That’s so sad that all your old stuff got wiped! I’m glad you have this now, even though it’s still missing so much stuff. And I agree with series. Standalones don’t grab me as often, I’m not sure why…

    1. You’re welcome! I know, I started to add people who were in the 300’s, it was getting really difficult!
It definitely was a low for me this year to have everything go, but I’m hoping that the site can recover some things for me. We’ll see, I don’t have high hopes.
I feel like standalones, you always just want more. I actually just finished reading a standalone and I was sad it was over, I really wanted it to continue, the characters were written so well, and the plot was excellent!
