Review: The Masked Truth

Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! We’ve made it halfway through the week! Today I’m going to be reviewing Kelley Armstrong’s novel The Masked Truth.

The Masked Truth

The Masked Truth by: Kelley Armstrong: Riley has been through quite the ordeal after witnessing the murder of the couple she was babysitting for, sent on a therapy retreat it becomes the weekend from hell. Held in a hostage situation with two armed men in masks, no one is safe and no one knows the reason; it’s up to Riley and her new friend Max to put the pieces together. This novel was one unbelievable thing after another; it was never a dull moment. The plot was so riveting that the reader didn’t want to put the book down. This novel was full of thriller, mystery and suspense that left goosebumps, making it a very good read with a very good plot, even though it did deal with a heavier subject matter. The novel dealt with mental health, mainly schizophrenia, but Armstrong did a very good job dealing with the subject by taking the stereotypes of the disease and writing out true facts about it, which gave the readers a real look into schizophrenia. Armstrong’s characters were good because she created them with great dimension and they felt so raw and real. Her characters and the plots that they were in made for a high-intense read.
