The Blogger Recognition Award IV

Hi friends, happy Thursday! Today I’m coming at you with the Blogger Recognition Award for the fourth time! I was tagged by Lauren @Narrative Paradise, the queen of tags, honestly she’s got a tag for everything! šŸ˜€ Thank you so much for nominating me! šŸ™‚

The Rules

  1. Thank the blogger/s who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  2. Write a post to show your award.
  3. Give a brief story of how your blog started.
  4. Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
  5. Select 15 other bloggers you want to give this award to.
  6. Comment (or pingback) on each blog and let them know you have nominated them and provide the link to the post you created.

My Beginnings

I started this blog because I needed a place to write all my thoughts. I love writing book reviews… I love writing period. I love documenting my life and I needed somewhere to do that. I had a blog before this one, but it got deleted due to the site changing the way they shared content; it went from original to more Buzzfeed type content. Never did I think I would find another community that was so welcoming and kind.

My Advice

  1. Don’t let others tell you you’re doing it wrong. No one person is the same, so why should our blogs be? If we all did it the same way, it would get boring fast. Do what works for you and run with it!
  2. Participate.Ā I’m stealing this from Lauren because I really like it. Participate in memes like Top Ten Tuesday, WWW, First Line Fridays, Music Mondays etc. Comment on others blogs to show you care. I know it can be intimidating, but try not to be afraid to comment. Think about how happy you are to get a comment, chances are the person your about to leave a comment for feels the same way.

  1. Awe! Lauren! She’s such a lovely person. And she honestly has a tag for EVERYTHING! It’s insane! I don’t know how she finds them all lol.

I’m so glad you decided to join this community šŸ™‚ I’m also incredibly happy about how loving and welcoming this community is.

I love your pieces of advice, especially the first one. No one ever told me I was doing it wrong but when I first started, I felt like I was since other blogs were so incredible. So i think it’s a very valuable piece of advice.

    Congrats on the nomination, darlin’!

    1. Haha! I agree! I have no idea where she finds them all, but she’s got it!

Aw, thank you! šŸ˜€ You are too sweet, I’m glad you’re here too! šŸ™‚ šŸ’ž

Thank you! I feel like everyone gets this perception they need to be like every other blogger, and I think it’s important to stay true to yourself! šŸ™‚

  2. Great advices! Only after blogging for almost 3 years I realized that memes were actaully A LOT OF FUN and there are so many bloggers doing them that on that specific day we create our own mini community inside the bookish community and I love it.

I’ve only tried TTT so far (and don’t always have time for it šŸ˜€ ) but I’d like to participate in some other memes in the future.

Right, it’s amazing, I agree with you I love it! šŸ™‚
I try to when I have time too. TTT can get really hard to keep up with, I did it for a year & I had to take a break!

  3. Ahh congratulations on the award ā¤ I love your advice about participating so much. It can feel a little daunting, at first, I know I was so very nervous to participate and comment on anyone's blog, but… it's one of the very best things about blogging, getting to chat with so many incredible people šŸ™‚ ā¤
