Festive Christmas Book Tag

Happy Boxing Day (or day after Christmas!) Look at me, two tags in one week, in a row, who am I? Today I’m going to be doing the Festive Christmas Tag! I was tagged by Kiara @the Nerdy Bibliophile. Make sure to give her some love this holiday and give her a follow! πŸ˜€

A fictional family you would like to spend Christmas dinner with?

I was going to use the cop-out Harry Potter answer, but I thought of a better answer, I would love to spend dinner with Eliza’s family from Eliza and her Monsters. As much as her parents were kinda meh, her brothers were the best and I would love to have dinner with them because they are so loyal and stick up for their sister, ugh I loved them so much.

A bookish item you would like to receive as a gift?

As I mentioned in yesterday’s tag, I’d really like to receive a book holder so that I can read and eat (again, yes shameful, I know!). Now that I started reading The Stand… have you guys seen how big that book is?!? My poor hands are getting tired of holding it! I need some help! πŸ˜…

A fictional character you think would make a perfect Christmas elf?

This is such a strange question… one I’m completely at a loss with. What are the requirements of a Christmas Elf? Yes, I realize I’m thinking way too much into this, but I have no answer for this.

Match a book to its perfect Christmas song.

I just really want to use Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays by: NSYNC because it’s a great song and a complete and utter earworm. The book that first came to mind for this song was Georgia Peaches and Other Forbidden Fruit by: Jaye Robin Brown. The lyric “And with the blessings from above, God sends you his love, and everything’s ok” just reminds me of the main character, Joanna trying to find herself, while being a pastor’s daughter. I truly loved that book.

Bah Humbug. A book or fictional character you’ve been disappointed in and should be put on the naughty list?

Off the top of my head a book that disappointed me recently was My Plain Jane. I thought it was going to be good because so many people liked these books, but I just didn’t. I wouldn’t say it should be on the naughty list per-sae, but I was just really sad not to like it!

A book or a fictional character you think deserves more love and appreciation and deserve to be put on the nice list?

I’m going to go with the book You Know Me Well… I haven’t heard a lot about this book, and I happened to buy it on whim… I’m SO glad that I did because it has become one of my favourite books!

Red, Gold and Green. A book cover that has a wonderfully Christmasy feel to it.

It doesn’t really have red or gold in it, but this screams Christmasy to me… anyone else?

A book or series you love so much, you want everyone to find under their Christmas tree this year so they can read it and love it too?

I feel like I haven’t shut up about The Chalk Man by: T.J. Tudor and any opportunity I have to shout it out! But honestly, this was one of my favourite, if not my favourite read of this year and you should all read it, especially if you love thrilling suspense novels. Read it!

Well, it’s now after Christmas, so I’m not going to tag anyone. But if anyone is still in the Christmas spirit and wants to participate in this, by all means consider yourself tagged! Merry Christmas friends! πŸ™‚
