Review: The Secret of a Heart Note

Hello friends, happy Wednesday! Today I’m going to be posting my review of Stacey Lee’s novel The Secret of a Heart Note.

The Secret of a Heart Note

The Secret of a Heart Note by: Stacey Lee: Mimosa comes from a long line of aromateurs, people who have an extraordinary sense of smell, and with only a few left on the planet she knows how important it is to her mother to stay in the family business of making love elixirs. But when she accidently messes up an elixir, she tries everything in her power to fix the mess she’s created, even if it means losing her nose. This novel was a breath of fresh air when it came to originality in story. It was so creative and well thought out that it hooked the reader instantly and had them craving more. The plots were good, your average teenage trifles mixed with an original story and the plots no longer felt so ordinary. The pacing was fast so the reader found they were flying through the story. The characters were rich, loveable and full of life. Some of them started off clichéd but their story arc really brought out the best in them and they weren’t your typical character. The main characters were really fun to read through all the ups and downs. All in all, this novel was cute with important life lessons but was definitely a good dose of serotonin.
