The Entertainer Blogger Award

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Today I’m going to be doing the Entertainer Blogger Award. I was tagged by Beth @Reading Every Night; thank you so much for the tag, and let’s get started!

So I’m posting this after 10 p.m because I just came back from a Toronto Blue Jays game where they won, and I’m buzzed… and this is just the start to my crazy weekend (although yes I do have to go to work tomorrow! πŸ˜› )

Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  • Add these rules to your post.
  • Answer all the questions below.
  • Display the award picture in your post.
  • Nominate 12 other bloggers who are funny, inspiring and most importantΒ of all entertaining!

Why did you start a blog in the first place?

I feel like I’ve answered this a million times so the short answer is to get my word out there on my takes of things I like or didn’t like. I love documenting things, and a blog is a very good way to do that.

What is your favourite book?

I think I mention this book in every tag I participate in but The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde πŸ™‚

What do you dislike the most?

In the world? This wasn’t specific. Beth did bookish and in life so I’ll do the same.
Bookish: cliched answer, folding/dog-earing pages, also hurting the spine of the book, I hate seeing cracks in spines, like I know that makes them a well loved book; it just doesn’t look visually appealing.
In life: people who chew loud; they drive me to the grave. I seriously can’t deal

What is your favourite food item from the mall?

Uhmmm, I don’t usually eat when I go to the mall, like I’ll have a snack but it’s usually McDonald’s or Tim Hortons, very basic.

What is your favourite pastime?

Like Beth I do enjoy baking. I haven’t baked in like a month. I also like to French knit, or as I was introduced to it as corking. I have a very big obsession with it.Β

A little side note here: I went to Google search images of corking because I have none on this computer, lo and behold this popped up as one of the first results. This is my image and my corking creations (I’ve made coasters) but I had completely forgotten the blog post I wrote for Canadian Living,Β when I was an intern there. I thought I’d share that. πŸ™‚

My Nominations:

Kristin @Kiristn Kraves Books
Sophie @Blame Chocolate
Vikki @The Mundane Teenage Life
Shouni @Through the Book Portal
Birdie @Birdie Bookworm

I know it’s not 12, but I’m lazy! 😜 As always, if you’ve done this before feel free to ignore, as well as if you don’t want to do it, no pressure! πŸ™‚

  1. Great answers for this tag Meghan, and oh man your pet peeves are two I agree with as well. I can’t stand when anything damages the spines of my books, or damages the anything of my books. It’s why I read mostly on my Kindle, that way I don’t have to worry about damaging my paperbacks.
Also the corking coasters look so cool. I’ve tried knitting in the past but never managed to make anything but very wonky scarves. It’s not really the hobby for me. πŸ˜€

    1. Thanks Beth! Ahhh smart. I haven’t adjusted to an ereader of any kind!
Thanks! My brother thinks my coasters are lame haha, I plan to try and sell them one day! Corking is the only form of knitting I know and it’s so simple that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to properly knit haha!

      1. That’s all right. Kindles are much better for me because I don’t have to worry about my physical books being damaged.
I don’t think they’re lame, I’ve never been able to knit so I kind of like seeing what people who those skills can create. πŸ™‚

  2. The Picture of Dorian Grey is such an amazing book! I consider it to be one of my favourites as well, though it’s been ages since I read it so I should probably reread it some time in the future. πŸ˜€ And I hate people who chew loud as well, they drive me crazy! Great post!! πŸ™‚

  3. Congratulations and thank you so much for tagging me, Meghan! ❀
Oh I didn't actually know about corking, but it sounds pretty relaxing and fun πŸ™‚ I love your little coasters, so cute!
And your dislikes are exactly the same as mine! I do think I have a mild case of misophonia, though, because some specific sounds (not just chewing) drive me insane.
    Great post!

    1. You’re very welcome! I can’t wait to see your answers! πŸ˜€
I find corking to be so under the radar, but I do love doing it! Although I think I’ve over done it because I’ve been doing it every day for 2 years haha.
Ohh haha, yeah there are a few sounds like I also can’t stand, but chewing is probably the highest on the list!
