Get to Know the Blogger Tag

Hi friends! Happy Thursday! It’s almost the end of the week, and time for another tag! Today I’m going to be doing the Get to Know the Blogger tag. I was tagged by sweet Jenna @Bookmark Your Thoughts. Thanks so much! Now let’s get into it!

The Rules

  1. Thank the person who tagged you!
  2. Link back and credit the original creator (GoodeyReads).
  3. Answer book questions about yourself.
  4. Answer the other questions about yourself.
  5. Change the last 5 questions when you tag someone else (if you want! – the more random the better).
  6. Tag at least 3 people.
  7. Have fun!

Book Questions about Me

One. A book about where you’re from (City, State, Country—Your Choice)

Rule of Three by: Eric Walters

Not only did I meet him in the fifth grade, he’s from the same city as me. This takes place in apocalyptic Mississauga. It’s really trippy to read street names you pass on the daily.

Two. A book about your favourite non-bookish hobby

The Geography of You and Me by: Jennifer E. Smith

This book is about traveling and that’s a hobby of mine. Self plug: check out my first blog post about my trip here.

Three. A book about a fear of yours

I fear snakes, like real bad. I think any Harry Potter book would work for this because Harry can speak to them, and the horcrux and everything, yeah you all know what I’m talking about.

Four. A book about something that brings you joy

If I’m being honest, reading about traveling makes me so happy, but I already used that as hobby. But books about books or writing make me happy too. I’m going to go with Fan Girl by: Rainbow Rowell. I fell in love with that novel and I loved how much I related to Cath when she’d write.

Five. A book about your career/what you’re studying in school

Well, I studied Journalism, and I’m a proofreader so I don’t really know… I’m flashing back to a Danielle Steel book I read back when I was 12 that I need to Google in order to try and remember the title. All I remember is the main character was a journalist who went to (I think) Vietnam to report on the war.

It came right up when I Googled it! A Message from Nam. It’s more about the main character going to Vietnam after her lover was killed in the war and she goes to start a column.

One. In your opinion, what is the best day on the calendar and why?

What a hard question. I don’t know! Out of the whole year, I always look forward to Christmas, but that’s so Cliché. I love Victoria Day in May because I’m usually traveling that day, so I will settle with that. ✌🏼

Two. If you could instantly travel anywhere in the world (real place, people), where would it be and why?

Hmmm. There are so many places I’d love to travel. If I could instantly drop myself I’d say Australia or New Zealand. It’s so far away and expensive that if I could just plop myself there that would be amazing!

Three. You’re stranded on an island. Besides the essentials, what are three things you MUST have with you?

  1. This is going to sound really juvenile, but my Teddy I love him, he’s been with me since day one, I’d need him by my side.
  2. My copy of Dorian Gray. So I could at least read something… I’ve read it 11 times already, what’s another 11? 😝
  3. Does an umbrella count as ‘essential’? Because I would like one either rain or shine they work.

Four. What subjects or topics are you confident in knowledge wise?

Hmmm, how about none? haha, okay well, I’m pretty confident in knowing brand standards at work, so I feel good about that. Does that count? I’m confident about talking about pop culture, I guess to an extent. I have no idea where I’m going with this 🙄😅I’m confident I can talk myself in circles 😂

Five. What’s a quirky thing you do?

Oh man, what isn’t quirky? I’m known to be the sound effects girl… so if that’s not quirky, I don’t know what is. I have to either have a sound effect or a hand gesture for everything I do/say. I get poked fun at, but ehh it’s something to remember me by 😂

That’s a wrap! Wow, talk about challenging. Some were so easy to come up with, some answers were such a struggle!

I’m super lazy, and I feel like I’ve tagged people over and over for a few weeks now so I’m going to lay off the tags and say, if you see this, you like this, go ahead and have fun with it!

  1. Awe thanks love!! And that’s so cool about the book where you’re from!! I wanna read it since I know Mississauga pretty well hehe. I need to read Fangirl … I’ve put it off way too long!

Victoria Day or the weekend is awesome in Ottawa because that’s usually when the Tulip festival is up!

I love how you put your teddy!! That’s so cute! I’d want mine too. I also REALLY want to travel to New Zealand. My fear is that I’ll never want to leave haha!

If we EVER end up meeting, it’s gonna be hilarious. I’m a sound effects girl and i talk with my hands A LOT!!

    Loved reading this!!

    1. I’ve told a few people who live in the GTA to read Rule of Three because it’s crazy and so surreal! I totally suggest it… especially if you know Mississauga pretty well! 😛

      Ooo that sounds lovely! 😀

Haha, thanks! I love my teddy. Oh right! That’s my fear about going anywhere, I fear I won’t want to come home. Although, I do get pretty homesick when I go away!

HA! Oh man, if you do ever meet up it will be quite a party! I’ll have sound effects for your actions and vice versa haha!

      Thanks! 😀
