Hi friends, happy Friday! I’m coming at you guys with a tag! Today I’m going to be doing the Ruler of Books tag that the lovely Birdie tagged me in, thank you so much, and let’s get started!

WHAT BOOK WOULD YOU MAKE EVERYONE READ?

This always seems like I answer the same thing for these tags, but here’s my go-to answer: The Picture of Dorian Gray by: Oscar Wilde. It’s just so masterfully put together, with its hooking plots and its fear of getting older (which I’m sure everyone has feared at one point), it’s so good.

WHAT WOULD YOU ABOLISH IN BOOK CONSTRUCTION?

Oh gosh I don’t know, any romance cover. I can’t stand those. They always look so cheesy; they don’t make me want to read them.

WHAT AUTHOR WOULD YOU COMMISSION TO WRITE YOU ANY BOOK?

I have to say this is an odd question. Why would I make an author right me a book, when I know they’ll probably already write one that I’ll probably read and like? Next question…

WHAT BOOK WOULD YOU DEMOTE TO THE LIBRARY BASEMENT TO MAKE ROOM FOR NEW BOOKS?

This is such a hard question because I like to give books the benefit of the doubt and I like to find the redeeming qualities in them. Like I would say the Fifty Shades trilogy because that was garbage, but I didn’t even rate it 1 star on Goodreads (rated it 2 but I’m telling you I like to find some good) but it seems the only book I’ve ever given one star on Goodreads is to The Flamethrowers by: Rachel Kushner. Gosh was that a waste of my time, so boring and the plot was so stale. I only read it because I saw that Tegan and Sara recommended it and well, that didn’t work out.

WHAT COVER ARTIST WOULD YOU COMMISSION TO MAKE A MURAL?

I’m agreeing with what Birdie said and that would be Maggie Stiefvater’s work. So talented.

WHAT BOOK WOULD YOU AWARD THE “RULER OF BOOKS” 2016 PRIZE TO?

The Raven King by: Maggie Stiefvater. I always forget when books come out because I never read anything on time. But this came out this year and I truly enjoyed it.
