The Sunshine Blogger Award IX

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday, I can’t believe that this is the ninth time I’ve been nominated for this award. Thank you to the lovely Lauren @Twenty-Seven Letters for tagging me! Lauren is super sweet, y’all should give her a follow! πŸ˜€

What is the Sunshine Blogger Award?

The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to those who are creative, positive, and inspiring, while spreading sunshine to the blogging community.

How Does It Work?

  • Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
  • Answer the 7 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
  • Nominate 7 new blogs to receive the award and write them 7 new questions.
  • List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.

What’s the last book you read that absolutely stole your heart?

Hmm, that’s a really good question. One of the last books I read,Β A Gentleman in MoscowΒ by: Amor Towles ended up being more than I thought it was going to be. The characterization of the main character and his growth was something quite beautiful to read.

If you had to describe yourself and your personality by only listing three different fictional characters, who would you choose and why?

Firstly, I’m going to use a graphic novel because this photo sums be up pretty much:

Apparently I need this printed and taped to my desk at work because my co-workers all agree it’s me. Sarah Andersen’s graphic novels are so so so so relatable to me it sometimes makes me wonder if we’re the same person πŸ˜…I love everything she produces and creates.

I’m also going to say Kendra from the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull. She’s a quick thinker, tries to do the right thing and she speaks her mind. Also the relationship she has with her brother is very relatable.

Lastly, I’m going to go with Neville Longbottom. Out of all the characters in Harry Potter, I feel I am the most like him. Timid and shy to do things out of my comfort zone, but always trying to do the right thing. I want to say I’m Luna too because I can be so eccentric sometimes, but she really doesn’t care what people think of her, and I totally struggle with that.

What is one fictional food that you are just dying to try?

Obviously, my first thought, much like a lot of other people, is Harry Potter. The food sounds marvellous in those books. Chocolate frogs sound like fun, and I have yet to try Butter Beer, since I know you can do that Universal now.

You can invite three fictional villains to a dinner party. Who are you inviting and what are they talking about?

Oooo. I’d invite Voldemort for sure, oh Pennywise the Clown would be fun too, and haha Count Olaf, wouldn’t that be a dinner party. What would we talk about? Ruling the world through fear and domination, obviously πŸ˜‚

Where is your preferred reading spot, and why is it your favourite?

I usually do all my reading in my room, on my bed, just because it’s the most convenient. I like to read anywhere I get really comfortable, if I’m being honest.

Out of all of the books you’ve ever read, which had the most satisfying ending? No spoilers!

Man, again this is so hard, out of all the books I’ve ever read… that’s a lot. I don’t know if it’s the best I’ve ever read, but more recently The Rosie Result had a very satisfying ending.

How do you usually write blog posts? Do you take notes beforehand? Make an outline? Do you write it all at once then post it? Do you schedule your posts?

This is a lot of questions! Depends on the type of blog post. For reviews, I write notes before I write the review, then I write the review in a word doc. when the time comes to post it I just copy and paste it into WordPress. For TV Tuesdays, I write notes while I’m watching the show, I again transfer them to a word doc. and then I plug that into WordPress. For tags and memes I write freehand in WordPress (like I’m doing right now!)
I guess you could call them outlines? I usually get all my blog posts for the upcoming week ready all at once on Friday night… which sometimes (usually) spills into finishing things off on Sunday. I only schedule my posts if I know I won’t be home to post it or if I’m on vacation.
I hope those answers were satisfactory!
