Hi! Today I’m going to be reviewing Roald Dahl’s novel The Witches.
I’ve been on a bit of a Dahl spree lately; after reading The BFG I had this thought to just re-read as many of his books as possible. So continuing down that road is The Witches.
The Witches by: Roald Dahl: A young boy is sent to live with his grandmother after a terrible accident took his parents life; this is where he learns all about the witches of the world. Thinking they are just stories until he comes face-to-face with a group of them. Being turned into a mouse, he and his grandmother hatch a plan to get rid of he witches. An imaginative novel that goes on many adventures, and is quite descriptive. The novel starts off slowly really getting into who, and what the witches are, but as soon as the first couple chapters are over, the novel really takes off. The reader is left to wonder until the very last chapter what is going to happen. Dahl knows how to give the reader what they want, and keep them wanting more. Aside from the main character not having a name, the plot was set up well that it’s almost unnoticeable.
I loooove this book!! On a totally unrelated note, I was wondering if you could answer this question for me:
How did you get your website to become so popular? Is it because you’ve posted many things, and have told a lot of people? Sorry, this is a really broad question!
Thanks,
-Sarah 🙂

Hi Sarah, it is a great book, and well it’s really only recently that I’ve started to gain some traction. I think what has helped me is that I use my social media to promote it, and the second is I follow other blogs and try to contribute to theirs by liking and commenting. That’s the best advice I have- I hope it was good! 🙂
