Secret Life of a Book Blogger

Hello! Today I’m going to be doing the Secret Life of a Book Blogger tag. I was tagged by Vikki @The Mundane Teenage Life. Thank you so much for tagging me, now let’s get started!

How long have you been blogging?

I started this blog in February 2015. But I blogged before I got here for seven years. That leads me to a grand total of 10 years, look at me go!

At what point do you think you’ll stop blogging?

Well I’ve already gotten this far, I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon!

What is the best thing about blogging?

I don’t know what the best thing is, but some of the best things are getting my voice out into the world (I still can’t believe 400+ people are reading this!) and showing the world through my eyes. Also talking with people who are just as passionate about books as I am.

What is the worst thing? What do you do to make it okay?

I don’t really think there is a worst thing. I think if there is a worst thing than you’re not blogging right. Maybe something that is a little annoying is the time it takes to create blog posts, but for the most part I don’t have any complaints, I like what I do.

How long does it take you to make/find pictures to use?

I usually take my own photos. The only time I use pictures from Google is for my TV Tuesday posts, and that can take roughly an hour.

Who is your book crush?

I don’t have one, I’m not one to have them.

What author would you like to have on your blog?

Stephen King would be so cool, but I’m not worthy enough to get that to happen.

What do you wear when you write your blog post?

Clothes. I usually write my posts on a Saturday (which is the day I’m writing this) and I’m usually wearing comfy clothes. Today I’m wearing jeans because I went out before I started working on this.

How long does it take you to prepare?

I’m assuming you mean my blog posts; usually I spend an hour to two hours working on all of my blogs for the week.

How do you feel about the book blogging community?

I feel great! Everyone is so friendly and kind πŸ™‚

What do you think one should do to get a successful blog?

Oh geez I have no idea. Everyone is different, what works for one person, doesn’t work for another. I think if you’re into blogging to be successful, you’re not in it for the right reasons.

  2. Great answers for this tag Meghan, I love reading these ones and getting to know more about the blogger behind the blog! πŸ˜€
I’m definitely in awe of how long you’ve been blogging, wow that’s incredible. I guess this is something you can see yourself doing long term because it’s something you’ve already been doing long term. Also I definitely agree with your feelings on the book community, it’s such an amazing place isn’t it? πŸ™‚
