Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday, I’m back at it again with another Top Ten Tuesday. Today’s topic is: Books You’d Mash Together. Let’s get into it! 🙂

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s topic is Books You’d Mash Together. (pick two books you think would make an epic story if combined)
This topic was fun, but hard to come up with, I don’t know how well my mash-ups are. I took a lot of my recent reads to give me a base.

1. The Hunger Games by: Suzanne Collins + Eragon by: Christopher Paolini. Imagine the Hunger Games with dragons, that would lead to an interesting adventure.
2. Purple Hearts by: Michael Grant + Wolf by Wolf by: Ryan Graudin. Two WWII novels collide, girl soldiers who fight a war that Hilter won.
3. Carrie by: Stephen King + Six of Crows by: Leigh Bardugo. Telekinetic abilities on large heist ; epic?
4.  City of the Lost by: Kelley Armstrong + Sookie Stackhouse novels by: Charlaine Harris. Ok, so I haven’t read the Sookie Stackhouse novels, butI have seen True Blood and damn vampires added to the Rockton series, could it get creepier?
5. Under the Dome by: Stephen King + Gone by: Michael Grant. I always thought these books were quite similar. Both have a dome come down and trap people, now imagine the adults and the kids trapped together with their weird super powers + King’s creepy writing.
6. Game of Thrones by: George R.R. Martin + Harry Potter by: J.K. Rowling. Damn Martin’s hate-filled world but with magic, yikes!
7. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by: Lewis Carroll + Everlost by: Neal Shusterman. Imagine if Alice fell down the rabbit hole but ended up in a Wonderland where she was a Skinjacker, able to jump from dead soul to dead soul; that would be a creepy, thrilling read.
8. Matched by: Ally Condie + Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by: Ransom Riggs. One novel is so full of order, while the other is chaotic and full of peculiar things that would be an interesting contrast.
9. A Series of Unfortunate Events by: Lemony Snicket + The Taking by: Kimberly Derting. So many bad things happen to the Baudelaire children that what was to happen if they got abducted by aliens?
10. Fahrenheit 451 by: Ray Bradbury + Between the Lines by: Jodi Picoult. The main character in Between the Lines, Delilah, is obsessed with books, one in particular… but what would happen if she was to step into Bradbury’s world where all books are to be burned?

That’s it for me. This was hard, some came easier than others, but it was a fun experience overall!
