WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

Night Shift: I’m 48% of the way through; this week’s short story was cliché, but I guess for the time, a newer and fresher idea. It wasn’t a bad story, but it didn’t do anything for me.

The Two Towers: I’m 30% of the way through; I wasn’t really feeling the start of this, but then we meet the Ents and Treebeard and I have to say, I am back to enjoying this! Still can’t wait to follow Sam and Frodo!

Lastly, I’m reading Follow Me by: Sara Shepard. This is the second novel in the Amateurs trilogy and I have high hopes for this after being pleasantly surprised by the first book. I just started this today so I don’t have many thoughts just yet, but I’m excited!

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?

Last week I finished We Are Still Tornadoes by: Michael Kun and Susan Mullen. I enjoyed this back and forth story of letters between best friends. I didn’t really care for the ending – it was pretty predicable and not what I wanted, but the lead up to it was really well done.

I also finished Each of Us a Desert by: Mark Oshiro and it pains me to say this but I wish I had loved this… I enjoyed reading it, but I didn’t love it as much as I thought I was going to. I still look forward to everything that Mark writes though!

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT?

I hit the library on Monday (since my holds were going to expire). I was really hoping to pick up Scythe by: Neal Shusterman, but it still says it was shipped… 12 days ago… maybe sometime soon.

ANYWAYS! Instead I picked up:

A Sin Such as This by: Ellen Hopkins
Swing Time by: Zadie Smith

I’m going to also add 3 books from my shelves… a few weeks ago I mentioned that my friends paid me back in books and so I bought:

The Priority of the Orange Tree by: Samantha Shannon
Dear Martin & Dear Justyce by: Nic Stone
