Review: The Age of Miracles

Hello, and welcome to another Throwback Thursday! Today I’m going to be re-reviewing Karen Thompson Walker’s novel The Age of Miracles.

Read: December 2013

The Age of Miracles

The Age of Miracles by: Karen Thompson Walker: The story of a girl, who is reaching puberty, in a time when everything is going wrong. Things are malfunctioning, the hours in a day are getting longer, and radiation is a big issue. That is all part of the slowing. This little girl Julia has to grow up in all of it and find herself, and figure out who she is. The novel was well written with a lot of purple prose, which gave it that literary feel that makes you want to read it. The novel really made the reader think about where our world is heading with all the things mentioned in the book is intensified. It’s a really great read that makes you think.
