The Wonderstruck Book Tag

Hello friends! Today I’m going to be doing the Wonderstruck Book Tag. I was tagged by the lovely Jenna @Bookmark Your Thoughts, thanks girlie! 😀 Definitely check out her blog for wonderful bookish content! 😀

Now onto the tag!

These are all prompts from Taylor Swift songs, and as Jenna mentioned in her post, I’m saying the same, not really a Swifty or whatever fans call themselves, but I’m still going to go along with the tag.

The Rules

  • Link back to the creator.
  • Answer as many or as few of the questions as you’d like.
  • Feel free to use any of the graphics in this post. 🙂
  • Tag however many people you’d like at the end!

These graphics were made by Olivia, and I have decided to use them. All credit goes to her!

The Way I Used to Be

I felt so many emotions throughout reading this.

I love these girls in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. They will stay with me for a long time.

I originally had this as book you clicked with, but I’d love for this to be a movie. Chasing charms throughout Europe, Asia, and Australia, yes please.

I love purple, so this is a b-e-a-u-t-iful cover! 😀

People either seem to really love, or hate the Shadowhunter World, and I’m one who a sucker for them. 😛

A Series of Unfortunate Events

This series will forever remind me of being a child.

These graphic novels are my heart and soul ❤️I love them so much! They are so relatable, they will make you laugh, make you think, and overall make you feel better.

Every year I re-read The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. Don’t ask me why, but I just love this book, and it’s always very comforting to read.

The Unexpected Everything

This had so much sweetness I couldn’t get enough.

I am SO obsessed with the Kopp Sisters, not only is it amazing these girls are real, but Amy Stewart is a brilliant writer.

Stealing Jenna’s answer for this. The Divergent trilogy started string, ended really, really flat.

Tags!

Okay, I’m going to be lame this time around and I’m not going to tag anyone specifically. But! If you see this tag and think it looks fun, or maybe you’re a diehard Swifty fan… please see yourself as tagged! 😀

  1. Awe … thank you for the shout out, love!! I’m one of those people who used to LOVE the Shadowhunters universe but now just “meh”. I think it’s because I read it when it was just a trilogy … and then it grew … and then I just lost interest. But I was happy with the original three though!

I never read the Unfortunate Events … wish I did though.

I love Sarah Scribble comics!! They are so adorable! And seriously … I relate TOO much to those … it’s like reading a book about me ha-ha! I feel a lot of us can relate.

Dorian is an amazing classic … I love the language use to depict his madness throughout the story. Such a great tale.

And you are more than alright to steal my answer … such an awful ending to that series … still mad about it!

Great post! I’m glad you had fun with it! ❤

    1. You’re very welcome, thank you for tagging me! ☺️❤️
I feel like the older I get, the more I’m starting to find I don’t care for the world as much. I’ve loved it for 10 years and I just think as a teenager I loved it way more than I do now. I can see losing I interest in it.

You still can! Do I have to push another series on you?!?! I kid, I kid! But even if you don’t read it… you should watch the Netflix series! It’s only 3 seasons! Okay, I stop trying to push things 😝

Yes!!! Sarah scribbles is the absolute best! Oh it is like reading a book based on my life, funny how we can all relate!

I’m glad you think so! I’ve been such a fan of Dorian, it’s good to see someone else feels the same way!

Haha! I don’t think you’ll ever be okay about that ending! 😝😂

      1. Me too … totally feel the same way. And you’re welcome!!

Lmfao!! Oh my goodness!!! Maybe I’ll check it out on Netflix.

My friends joke that if people want to get to me, they should just read the comic haha!!

I did a big essay on it because I loved it so much 😍

        Nope … never … NEVER!!

      2. Haha! Well, I think you should totally! 😛 If you do, I hope you enjoy it! 😀
Ha! I feel that, the comics are life!

You did an essay on the Picture of Dorian Gray?!

        Like

      3. I ask because… I wrote a paper in high school on Dorian Gray. I didn’t think there was anyone out there that loved the book as much as I did… but I’ve found someone! 😀

      4. I’m lame and I honestly can’t remember… I want to say it we had to write a paper on what book we should have read in our Studies in LIt class and I wrote about Dorian Gray. I’m pretty positive that was it… I’m very close to going to try and find the paper 😛

  2. I love the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, but for some reason the rest of the books (Infernal Devices and now the Dark Artifices) are not doing it for me 😦
Did you finish the Queen of Air and Darkness? I’m still only 300 pages in. Ahaha (it’s going very slow).

Also, I LOVED the divergent book series and movies, and just the whole idea of that world ❤

    1. Oh no! Really!? That’s too bad! I loved the Infernal Devices a lot, I’m sorry that you didn’t care for it as much.
Now, the Dark Artifices on the other hand I agree, I didn’t care for them as much as the previous books, and I feel you so much about Queen of Air and Darkness… that book took me ages to read, but yes I did read and review it.
I don’t know, maybe as I get older I’m not into the books as much, I don’t know. I started reading these books when I was 16 so maybe 10 years later they don’t mean so much to me.

You’re one of the first people I’ve heard say they loved the divergent trilogy… everyone I know says they hated it. You are one of the rare out there!

      1. Yeah, you are right, I think we are outgrowing the Shadowhunter world. I do need to finish the Queen of Air and Darkness though.. just so I can put it away on the shelf 😀

And divergent! I thought not liking it was an unpopular opinion! But I guess it’s the other way around D: lol

      2. Haha! I hope you do finish it and that you enjoy it!
The sad thing is, even though I’m outgrowing the world… I feel like I’m going to still read them 😛

I’ve only heard of people not liking it, that’s good that you did enjoy it! 😀

  3. Oh great picks for this tag Meghan, and I loved reading your answers as well. 🙂 ❤ I definitely agree with the Divergent series for the last question, I enjoyed the first book but the ending to Allegiant really let the trilogy down (I dunno though, maybe I read the last one when I was coming out of my dystopian phase and it kind of killed the series for me. Probably not though as it ended up in your post).
Also yes I loved the Series of Unfortunate Events books (still do tbh) and The Unexpected Everything was such a good read as well. Anything by Morgan Matson is amazing in my opinion though.
Great post, and great picks for this tag as well. 🙂 ❤

    1. Thank you Beth! ☺️ yeah, the beginning of divergent was great, but that ending was just so blah. That could be a very plausible reason as to why you didn’t like it!😝
Oh! I still love a series of unfortunate events too! I’ve read the series 3 times since reading as it as a kid, I may reread them again at some point!
Totally agree! Thanks again Beth! ☺️❤️

      1. That’s all right. It felt almost like she wanted to go against the tropes when she ended the trilogy but it kind of backfired. I don’t know many people who like how Allegiant ended.
I definitely need to re-read it, I want to see the TV show so I may read the books in line with it.
        That’s all right. 🙂 ❤️

  4. I agree, the cover for The Forbidden Wish is completely gorgeous! ❤
I'm a sucker for the Shadowhunter books as well. They are just so much fun to read, plus they have really interesting characters that I love reading about. 😀
The Sarah Andersen graphic novels are so amazing and very relatable! I'm so happy that I ended up reading them! Great post! 🙂

    1. Right! Such beautiful shades of purple! 🙂
Haha, right! I’ll probably continue to read them as long as she produces the books! 😛
That’s awesome! 😀 I’m glad you read and enjoyed the graphic novels! 🙂
