WWW Wednesday #20 🌺

Hello friends! Welcome back to another WWW Wednesday! I thought this would be a fun way to see a snapshot of what I’m reading! I hope you’re all doing well! I’m feeling particularly great today and I wish I could feel this way every day! 😃

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

The Stand: I’m 41% of the way through; GUYS! The first of long chapters have arrived! I managed to get a large chunk read this week (almost 100 pages!) All the characters are biking through the country and I have a feeling characters are going to start meeting one another. The ominous way King writes the chapters, giving the reader these slight tips that bad things are coming, is also really intriguing.
Extras: I’m 20% of the way through; so this looks to take place in the future, I’m not sure how many years later, but we have different characters. I’m wondering if Tally is going to show up, but right now I’m enjoying Aya and her brother Hiro.
Lastly I’m reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by: Oscar Wilde… well this is a re-read… my 12th re-read. I never get tired of this story! 😀 I’m currently right in the middle of the longest chapter of the book were Dorian is learning about himself. Usually I don’t like that chapter, but this year? I’m actually really enjoying it, go figure. I hope to finish this tonight, we shall see!

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?

I finished The Mime Order by: Samantha Shannon last Thursday and I enjoyed it… I just didn’t enjoy it as much as the first novel. This novel was just missing the same spark the first one had. I can’t wait to read the third though, which will definitely be soon!
I also finished Ambush by: James Patterson; this was my first Patterson novel and it wasn’t bad… but there was nothing thrilling or shocking about it. I thought it was alright. I would have liked there to be more suspense. What did have more suspense was his short story Manhunt that was at the end of this novel, and I enjoyed his short work SO much more than his novel. More when I post my review of it.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT?

The only thing that I know I’m going to read in the next few days is The Rising Song by: Samantha Shannon. After that, I haven’t a clue. I need to regroup and think it out 😂

What are you all reading?

    1. Yeah!
I still need to start that trilogy! It’s on my TBR, but with the libraries being closed I don’t know when I’m going to read it! I can’t wait to! I like Neal Shusterman’s writing 🙂
