Review: When We Collide

Hi guys! Happy Monday! Today I’m going to be reviewing Emery Lord’s novel When We Collide.

When We Collide

When We Collided by: Emery Lord: Jonah is struggling to keep his world together after the death of his father; Vivi is struggling with demons of her own. When the two meet, neither one could have even predicted the affect that they would have on each other. What a novel to crash into. The plot was beautiful and well thought out. At first the reader wasn’t sure what was going on, things seemed to be jumbled together, but once past the first few chapters things started to make some sort of sense and the reader explored a world of sadness, pain, but also love, hope and the chance to move on and heal. This novel was an example of what happens when people come into your life for just a short time, but who have the most impact. The characters were all quirky and full of life, even at times when they were at their lowest there was still this rawness and humanity to them. Although there are a few triggers, these characters stuck together and helped create this world that the reader had no problem slipping into. This was a well written and greatly executed novel that represents mental health quite well.
