Welcome to Monday! On this fine (but chilly!) Monday I’ll be participating in my first Music Monday of the year!

I had such a hard time deciding what song to pick this week. It was a toss up between this song, and Hand in My Pocket because it was on the soundtrack to Lady Bird, and I’ve been obsessed with that soundtrack, in the end this song won out.
According to Wikipedia “Morissette began her career in Canada in the early 1990s with two mildly successful dance-pop albums.” pretty sure they were a little more than mildly successful… 🙄
Anyways, she’s from Ottawa, Ontario.
Lyrics:
I had no choice but to hear you
You stated your case time and again
I thought about itYou treat me like I’m a princess
I’m not used to liking that
You ask how my day wasYou’ve already won me over in spite of me
And don’t be alarmed if I fall head over feet
And don’t be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn’t help it
It’s all your faultYour love is thick and it swallowed me whole
You’re so much braver than I gave you credit for
That’s not lip serviceYou’ve already won me over in spite of me
And don’t be alarmed if I fall head over feet
And don’t be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn’t help it
It’s all your faultYou are the bearer of unconditional things
You held your breath and the door for me
Thanks for your patienceYou’re the best listener that I’ve ever met
You’re my best friend
Best friend with benefits
What took me so longI’ve never felt this healthy before
I’ve never wanted something rational
I am aware now
I am aware nowYou’ve already won me over in spite of me
And don’t be alarmed if I fall head over feet
And don’t be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn’t help it
It’s all your faultYou’ve already won me over in spite of me
And don’t be alarmed if I fall head over feet
And don’t be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn’t help it
It’s all your faultI couldn’t help it
It’s all your fault
