Still reading ‘Salem’s Lot. I’ve moved into part 2 and things are getting intense, I’m about 335 pages in. Only 16 more weeks to go!

I’ve been reading the Sisterhood series and really enjoying it. I’m almost done with The Second Summer of the Sisterhood and I know I’ll be diving into the third book soon!

I just started Before I Go to Sleep today. This was recommended by my friend’s sister so I’m curious to see what this is about it.

TV IS BACK BABY!

Gotham is back for it’s 5th and final season. I have to say, so far I have no idea where this show is going, but I’m obviously going to stick with it until the end.

Kim’s Convenience is back for a third season, and I’m super excited. I love this show so much ❤️

All my go-to shows are back including: The Good Doctor, This Is Us, Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away With Murder.

I am very excited about getting into the new season of Brooklyn Nine Nine. This is the first season I’m watching live and as much as I wanted to binge it all, I’m very excited to see where the season goes… one week at a time.

Well, at the beginning of the month I would have told you I am no longer watching Bob’s Burgers as Netflix decided to take it down… BUT! I found every season on Rogers on Demand, thank you City TV for having each and every episode. I am binging this!

I’m back to watching every season of ER. Great show, I’m still really loving it!

I still try to catch my Jeopardy every day… there is something about this show that makes me feel really smart when I get answers right! 😝

I’m also still religiously watching my hockey! Go Leafs Go! 💙🍁💙

What I Watched this month:
Lady Bird
Beauty and the Beast 2017
I, Tonya

Ralph Breaks the Internet
Black Mirror: Bandersnatch
Coco

So I’ve been watching a lot of movies lately… Lady Bird completely wrecked me, but I did love it… more of my thoughts. Because that wrecked me, I decided I needed something lighthearted and Beauty and the Beast has been starring at me for ages on Netflix so I watched it… twice. More of my thoughts. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Alison Janey’s acting in I, Tonya and I wasn’t disappointed, more of my thoughts.

I went to the movies and managed to see Ralph Breaks the Internet before it’s gone from theatres. Oh my, that movie, my heart ❤️ I loved it. My thoughts of it will be up next month (ok technically tomorrow).

Since I’ve seen all of Black Mirror, I really wanted to see the film Bandersnatch… I was up until 12:45 playing around with it… and still it could go on and on, damn! Again, my thoughts will be up next month.

I watched Coco for the first time. That was a cute movie, and very colourful. I’ll have more of my thoughts again next month.

I also watched Mowgli. I saw it on Netflix and I heard it was good. I put it on too late so I kept falling asleep through it. I found it to be a Jungle Book with rough edges. I didn’t give it my full attention so I won’t be giving it any more thoughts.

I squeezed in one last movie, Book Club. It was really cute and funny; I’m not sure if I’m going to write more of a review for it, but if I do look out for it next month.

I ended up watching season 4 of Fuller House. You know, I’ve seen the past three, it only seemed right; trashy TV but eh, we all need it in our lives. As I mentioned in what I’m watching; I found every episode of Bob’s Burgers and I’m breezing through the show!

I can’t believe that season 3 of The Good Place is already over! I’m sad with how they ended and can season 4 hurry up?

I started this new year telling everybody ‘new year, new me, baby!’ so I’m sticking to it! The things I said I was going to do, I’m doing. I’m hoping to do a lot… we’ll see how long it lasts! 😂

The first thing I did was take a day off of work to just focus on me…or well my bookshelves. I re-organized the two bookshelves that I own, and I’m happy with the results.

So on January 8, 2018 I went to my very first Toronto Maple Leaf game, on January 8, 2019 I met one of the Leaf players, number 43, Nazem Kadri. Definitely exciting stuff. He was at work doing a promotion for Kraft Hockeyville, and with my whole ‘new year, new me, baby!’ attitude I knew I had to suck it up, wait an hour and meet him. I also knew that I would regret it if I didn’t. 🏒

Like I mentioned above, I went to the movies this month with my oldest friend, and we hit up a dessert place afterwards… so yummy. That’s a crepe with chocolate ice cream underneath, with a drizzle of dark chocolate and white chocolate chips 😁SO good… SO good I couldn’t finish it all 😋

I braved the cold to celebrate one my friend’s birthday… the turnout was actually really great for a last minute decision and I’m very glad that I went!  😃

The very next day I got together with that same friend, as she’s the one I’m traveling to 1) see in Leicester and 2) she’s going to be traveling with me on my big trip in June! 🌍  We managed to book 2 of our hotels woot! We have one in Glasgow and one in Edinburgh! I only have 2 more hotels to book!

Keeping on track with the whole new year, new me I went to Paint Night with one of my best friends’ and it was a damn good time. I’m proud of myself for going, since I have no creativity, like at all!

It’s been super, super cold here and I just haven’t had any motivation to do much. I’m hoping that February gets warmer, but I seriously doubt that. 😝February is the shortest month, but feels like the longest!

I hope you all had a great start to the year!
