Bookish Book Lover Tag

Happy Friday my lovely followers, we’ve made to the end of yet another week! I’m back at it again with another tag!

I’d like to thank mreadsbooks for tagging me, please check out her blog and give her a follow if you don’t already.

Rules

  • use the banner
  • answer the questions including lots of book covers
  • tag your bookish friends!

What books are you currently reading?

I am reading (as of the day I’m writing it, not posting) The Flame Never Dies by Rachel Vincent, and The Copper Gauntlet by Holly Black & Cassandra Clare.

What’s the last book you finished?

The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West

Favourite book you read this year?

Oh man, I really liked The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion, but I also really liked Finders Keepers by Stephen King.

What genre have you read most this year?

Oh probably young adult. That or fantasy.

What genre have you read least this year?

Romance

What genre do you want to read more of?

I want to read more thriller, and more of the classics.

How many books have you read this year, and what’s your goal?

Let me consult my Goodreads page… I’ve read 84 out of my goal of 105.

What’s the last book you bought?

I bought three books at one time, and those were The Nest by Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney, The Rosie Project and The Rosie Effect by Graeme Simsion.

What book are you saving up to buy next?

That’s a good question, I’m not sure. I buy books on a whim so I never really know what I’m going to buy.

How many books did you check out last library visit?

I was just there today and I took out four books.

What’s a book you can’t wait to read?

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

What’s a series you’d recommend to everyone?

A series? I haven’t finished this series but Richelle Mead’s Georgina Kincaid series is very good and addictive.

Who’s an author you’re hoping writes more?

Chris Colfer is a cheeky writer, but he’s quiet good at it. I’d like to see him try his hand at adult fiction, rather than just children.

A few books your heart adores?

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and The Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling.

What series’ coming conclusion makes you sad?

As of right now I can’t think of any, right now I’m either reading series that have already finished, or standalones.

What books are on your wish-list?

Oh all the books. I still want to read The Cursed Child, I’m hoping I get it for Christmas.

And that’s a wrap on this tag. Again I’m not in the tagging mood, so feel free to do this tag if you haven’t already! 🙂

  1. I really loved your answers for this tag Meghan. I really hope you enjoy The Cursed Child as well, I just finished it earlier this week and overall I thought it was a really good book, I also hope you enjoy A Court of Thorns and Roses, that’s another favourite of mine!
You’ve also done great on your Goodreads challenge! And there’s still three months of the year to go so do you reckon you’ll complete it?

    1. Thank you! I’ve heard mixed reviews of The Cursed Child so I’m hoping when I do get to it I’m not disappointed but at least I know not to get my hopes up just yet.
I’m about to start a Court of Thorns and Roses today so we’ll see!
Thanks! I’m really hoping I complete it, it will make me sad and unfinished if I don’t. I haven’t not completed a Goodreads challenge yet, so I don’t want to start now ha!

      1. I really enjoyed The Cursed Child, I think the negative reviews do have some valid points but overall it’s a good story.
I can’t wait to see your review then when you finish it!
No I haven’t either, I’m on task to complete this years on too. It’s always a nice feeling when you do isn’t it?
