According to the Project Management Institute, if you have a bachelor’s degree, you would have to spend 36 months gaining experience by directing and leading projects, and for an associate’s degree, you would have to go through 60 months of training to be equipped to guide and direct more professional projects. There is also the dilemma created by the fact that you need to have project management experience to go through the PMP examination, but there are jobs that require the PMP credential to be even considered for the role.
