Sims-A-Thon Readathon Wrap-Up

Hi guys! Today I’m going to be wrapping up my first ever read-a-thon, the Sims-a-Thon! I had fun with this, and I look forward to doing another one sometime in the future!

The fact that I was traveling for two weeks of June and I managed to read as much as I did blows me away. Let’s get into this.

Here are the prompts again:

✅Create-a-Sim 5 pts.
Read a book that is first in a series

I read this while on vacation. It wasn’t my favourite but you can read my review here!

✅Buy a House 3 pts.
Read a contemporary or a book set in our world

I read Emergency Contact by: Mary H.K. Choi before I left, read my review!

✅Career: Secret Agent 5 pts.
Read a mystery book

I ended up buying The Chalk Man by: C. J. Tudor while in Edinburgh. I’m glad I did because I would have been out of reading material! Read my review!

✅Fall in Love 3 pts.
Read a book with a romance element

I read P.S. I Like You by: Kasie West on vacation and it was the perfect read, light, cute and quick to read. You can read my review!

Eat a Cooke 1 pt.
Read a book under 200 pages

Okay, so I didn’t read this book for this challenge because as of now, as I looked to see if the status changed, it did not, this book is still ‘temporarily unavailable’. So, instead I read Brooklyn House Magicians Manual by: Rick Riordan.

This companion novel was 128 pages so it still fits the challenge! Challenge completed. You can read my review of the whole Kane Chronicles here!

BONUS CHALLENGES COMPLETED!

Make a friend 3 pts.
Read a book that features friendships

Georgia Peaches and other Forbidden Fruit by: Jaye Robin Brown was such a cute novel, I really enjoyed. I didn’t think I’d love it as much as I did.

Meet the Grim Reaper 3 pts.
Read a Book Featuring Death

I managed to squeeze this last book in on June 30! The Muse by: Jessie Burton was based around the mysterious death of Isaac Robles. It was an intriguing novel.

I managed to finish the challenge with 23 points and 7 books read! Go me! Did anyone else participate in this read-a-thon? I’d love to see your wrap up! 🙂

    1. Thank you! I have no idea how I did it really, I’d love to have that power now because I haven’t read as much in July… and I’ve been home 😝
