The Liebster Award III

Hello friends! Today I’ll be doing the Liebster Award for the third time! Thank you Savannah @Livin’ That Savi Life for tagging me. Let’s get into it! πŸ™‚

THE LIEBSTER AWARD RULES

  1. Acknowledge the blog that gave it to you and display the award
  2. Answer 11 questions that the blogger gives you
  3. Give 11 random facts about yourself
  4. Nominate 11 blogs and notify them of their nomination
  5. Give these blogs 11 questions to answer

11 RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME

  1. Hi, my names Meghan and I’m a 5ft Canadian.
  2. I’m tall enough to ride roller coasters by myself, but you’ll likely never find me doing that; I don’t have a fear of rollercoasters and I will ride (most) of them with whoever wants to go.
  3. I have a fear of falling that really restricts me from going on the ones that have an incline of 90Β° angles or so (so not my thing). Plus if they’re really tall, forget it.
  4. That doesn’t mean I’m afraid of everything tall because my favourite animal just happens to be a giraffe.
  5. My least favourite animal is a snake… I don’t know what it is about them, but I can’t stand them… just typing this is giving me the willies.
  6. But the irony is… I’m in house Slytherin, a very proud Slytherin πŸ’š… oh how funny life is.
  7. Life is funny, and people tell me I’m funny. I think I’m more sarcastic, but people seem to like that.
  8. And as much as people like me, and I (for the most part) like them, I’m definitely an introvert.
  9. Spending time with myself to read a good book (which I do often, if you didn’t know πŸ˜‚) or watch a good show; I think I enjoy my own company more than anyone else ever will.
  10. And speaking of shows, I’m currently obsessed with YOU on Netflix. Penn Badgley is a great actor who has this creepy look to him that makes the role perfect for him.
  11. Really random fact: I learned level one in fencing as a teen.

11 QUESTIONS FROM SAVANNAH

What’s your favourite book?

The Picture of Dorian Gray by: Oscar Wilde. I don’t know why, but I enjoy the story and I love to embrace myself in the world every year.

Dogs or cats, and why?

Okay, this is so hard. I love both very much. I’m having such a hard time deciding! I think for the purpose of this question, I’m going to say cats, sorry dogs!

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Teleportation. Wouldn’t that be great to go from place to place without having to wait for buses, trains, planes.

What book do you think would be best made into a musical?

As I’m not much a fan of musicals, so I have no idea what to pick for this. Great question, but man, I have no idea! I could see The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants being like a Mama Mia type deal, does that count?

What’s your favourite book to movie/TV show adaption?

I’ve stated this a lot recently, or so it feels, but currently it’s Love, Simon.

What’s your favourite place to eat out?

Ooo food. I like me some food. Fast food, I’d say Harvey’s because it’s Canadian and I like supporting Canadians. Very patriotic over here.

But in all seriousness, I do love supporting anything Canadian and supporting anything local.

What’s your favourite song?

My gosh, could this be any harder? I really, I can’t even, I think my brain is breaking.
Now, if you’d asked my in 2011 I would have had an answer straight away.

I listened to this for months straight… listening to it again, oh man the feeeeelz. I think I’m going to keep this for my answer; it seems very fitting to my life right now.

What book would you like to see made into a TV series?

Possibly Kelly Armstrong’s Rockton series. That would be creepy, yet so much fun.

What’s your most anticipated book release of the year?

I’m always so behind on these things… if I’m being honest I don’t know what’s coming out the rest of the year, but I’m very excited for Finale by Stephanie Garber to come out this month! πŸ˜„

What do you think is your spirit animal and why?

A unicorn… because I’m majestical πŸ˜‚ … well I’d like to think I’m special like a unicorn. If not, I’m probably a cat.

If you could have any animal as a pet, what would it be?

I think it’s quite obvious now that it would be a cat 🐱

Alright, let’s see how many cat gifs I can use it one post shall we? πŸ˜›

  1. I’m 5″1 so I totally feel your short struggles and SAME about roller coasters. I like some of them but I’m not a fan of ones that go upside down. The one time I rode one like that, the straps did not hold me in and ya girl almost died, so never again πŸ˜‚

Ooh did you read You before starting the show? I’ve been meaning to get around to both but it just hasn’t happened yet lol.

Okay I just read the description for the first Rockton book and it sounds amazing. Definitely adding it to my TBR!

I’m excited for Finale too, although I do need to reread the first two books.

Thank you so much for tagging me Meghan!! πŸ’™

    1. Haha yay! Short people unite! πŸ˜€
Oh god, I hate the ones that go upside down, not my thing at all! Oh geez, that sounds scary! I’m glad you’re ok!

I didn’t read the book. I guess I should have, but then I never would have gotten to the show πŸ˜› Well, I hope if you do read the book you enjoy it, and that you love the show because it’s really good.

Haha yay! I recommend those books to everyone because that series is amazing!

You’re so welcome! I hope you have fun with it! :)πŸ’ž

  2. Congrats!! Awe … unicorns and cats FTW! I think my spirit animal would be either a unicorn as well, or a river otter … or a squirrel lol!

Wilde’s book isn’t my favourite, but it’s one of those books I just really enjoyed. It’s so well written!! I loved it a lot!

Dudette … Harvey’s is Canadian??! I love this place but seriously … how did I not know this?! Worst Canadian ever over here …

I really gotta in on Armstrong’s Rockton series … I’m feeling this summer. That way, I can read some books I already have and save some money to buy them, because honestly, I buy all da Armstrong books!!

Great answers! I had a lot of fun reading them!

    1. Haha, thanks! πŸ˜€ Haha, a river otter is so cute!

Yeah! It’s totally Canadian! Now you have more reason to love it! πŸ˜€ Aw, you’re not the worst Canadian… there are plenty before you… the name Ford ring any bells? πŸ™„

Yes you do! I will be singing its praises forever because it’s so good! I can’t wait for you to read it! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it!

      Thanks! πŸ˜€ ❀️

  3. I feel like Love, Simon is everyone’s favourite book adaptation at the moment, but that’s all right because it’s a brilliant one (and of course my favourite at the moment as well!) Also I’ve never read The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pant but based on what I know about the book from the blurb, and from the trailer for the film I saw, it would make a great Mamma Mia-esque musical.
I am so excited for Finale as well, it’s not long to go until it’s release so even better! Are you planning to re-read Caraval and Legendary beforehand, or just jump straight into book three?
Congrats on the award Meghan, and great post I really enjoyed reading your answers and facts. πŸ™‚ ❀

    1. Right?! It’s a great adaptation. The fact that I’ve seen so many people talking about it lately, I want to re-read and re-watch the film!
Ah you should totally read the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It is so worth the read! πŸ˜€
No, it comes out next week! I’m very excited. I’m just going to jump right into the new book! How about you? Are you planning a re-read?
Thank you Beth! I had fun writing it! πŸ˜€ ❀️

      1. I feel like people are always talking about (and also I am so excited for the TV series that’s going to be on Disney+, even though it will probably be ages until I get to see it).
I’m not sure, I guess it depends on how I feel. I kind of want to jump right in too, but part of me thinks as it is the last book maybe I should re-read the first two.
        That’s all right. πŸ™‚ ❀

      2. This is true! πŸ™‚ I can’t wait for it either πŸ™‚
I feel that. Well, whatever you choose I hope you enjoy the re-read or the last book! πŸ˜€

      1. Ahhh me too! I loved the twist at the end. I don’t think that happens in the book, from what I can remember, but it will make for a great storyline in the next season! xxx

  4. Thank you for the nomination! It’s such an honor! Don’t worry I’m finally getting around to answering all your questions and doing some of my own nominations! Clearly, I have problems with time management… I also love cats! And teleportation would seriously be a great superpower.
