WWW Wednesday #33 🍊

Hi friends, I hope you’re all doing well. Welcome back to another WWW Wednesday; I thought this would be a fun way to see a snapshot of what I’m reading!

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at.

My WordPress editor decided today would be the day it changes over to the new editor 🙄 of all days. Today has been a long, long day and now having to re-do this post is… not fun.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

The Stand: I’m 89% of the way through; another week, another 2 short chapters… literally 8 pages this week but the story is taking an interesting turn and now I just want to know how it’s going to end!!!
P.S I Still Love You: I’m 29% of the way through; I’m jumping right into the next book and I’m loving it. The whole hot tub scandal is interesting.
Lastly I’m reading The Girl Who Lived Twice by: David Lagercrantz. I’ve literally only read the first chapter so I don’t really have an opinion yet, but I’ve loved all the books in this series so I expect to like it.

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?

This week was a good week for reading!

I finished reading To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by: Jenny Han… SO cute, as I’ve been saying week after week, but I loved this story. I loved the plots, I loved the characters and that ‘twist’ we get at the end, I wasn’t surprised by but I thought it was endearing.
I also finished When You Were Everything by: Ashley Woodfolk. If I’m being honest I didn’t think I’d love this story as much as I did. Watching two best friends fall apart but also learn SO much about friendships was so cathartic. If there’s one thing I’ve learned recently is be aware of the expectations you place on friendships because not everyone expects the same thing… and this book was a perfect example of that!
I finished With the Fire on High by: Elizabeth Acevedo… I love her writing. Again I wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I did but I flew through this story. I was so enthralled by it all I needed to keep reading. What are the changes 3 5 star reads in a row?

My 5 star streak had to end; I also finished The Golden Tower by: Holly Black and Cassandra Clare this is the final novel in the Magisterium series and at first it didn’t feel like the end, but as the story went on you could see the authors wrapping things up. Not my favourite series ever, but entertaining.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT?

My list is finally shrinking! It looks like Wednesdays are going to be my library day for the foreseeable future so today I picked up One Dark Throne by: Kendra Blake, I’m going to pick this series back up after reading the first book back in… 2016 😬

As for the list I still have:

Kopp Sisters on the March (Kopp Sisters #5) by: Amy Stewart
Replica (Replica #1) by: Lauren Oliver
The Secret Commonwealth (The Book of Dust #2) by: Philip Pullman
So You Want to Talk About Race by: Ijeoma Oluo
A Blade so Black by: L.L. McKinney
Get a Life, Chloe Brown by: Talia Hibbert

    1. I wouldn’t hate it so much if it didn’t decide to switch over without me knowing. I logged on prepared to post this blog after a long day and I had to redo a lot of it… that’s what makes me hate it 😅

      1. Yeah! I didn’t realize there was a cut off date for the old editor so it was a surprise when I logged in last Wednesday and found my post had to be rejigged… then redone pretty much 🙄

  2. Ahaha, I’ve seen tons of tweets about the new block editor this week 😀 I started using it immediately when it was implemented (so for quite some time now) and love how intuitive and easy to use it is 🙂

I can’t believe you’re still going strong with the Stand 😀 It’s almost over! How does that make you feel?

This week I watched the two movies of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. And they were so adorable ❤

I also want to start the Kendare Blake series, but I think I'll have to leave it for next year :O Lol

    1. That would have probably been a smarter idea, instead of holding off until the very last minute, but alas 😅

HA! Yes I’m almost done… it’s feels like an eternity I’ve been reading it. Honestly I’ll be so happy and relieved to finish it. I’m kinda done with the story I’m ready for my next King read!

Aw! I can’t wait to watch them. I think I’m going to wait until I read all three books then I’ll watch the movies. I’m glad you enjoyed them!

I started Blake’s series in 2016… then forgot about it, so I want to try and pick it back up. We’ll see how well it goes! 😃
