Weekly Update #4 πŸŒ¬

Hello friends, happy Friday and welcome to my Weekly Update!

Night Shift: I’m 96% of the way through; I have one last short story left. This week brought the creep/chills vibe and took us back to ‘Salem’s Lot, which was fun!

The Return of the King: I’m 53% of the way through; I actually made a decent dent into this, this week! It’s so nice to see everyone together, even though it’s coming to an end.

Lastly, I’m reading The Secret of a Heart Note by: Stacey Lee. This sounds like such a interesting concept for a novel and I’m curious to see where everything is going to go.

What I’ve Read:

This week I finished A Sky Beyond the Storm by: Sabaa Tahir and wow what an ending! I really enjoyed this and I feel bittersweet about this series being over.

I also finished Across the Green Grass Fields by: Seanan McGuire. I love this series and this addition was good, not my favourite but I still really enjoyed it. I kinda wanted more from this story – I feel like we just touched the surface of the story.

Links to posts I enjoyed around the blogosphere:

Min @Min and her books wrote a really great post about productivity that really spoke to me
Elli @Ace Reader wrote her thoughts on the Hero of Olympus series and I have to say this really had me wanting to dive back into this series and read more Rick Riordan books!
Kristin @Kristin Kraves Books announced that she created a YouTube channel and I could not be more excited!
Lauren @Narrative Paradise wrote part 2 of her best of Taylor Swift songs and it’s just SO fun to talk Swift with her!

The last week of January, did anyone else feel this month was both really long, yet really short? Because that’s how I feel. Again, nothing truly exciting happened this week. Another very mundane week in my life.

A few positives from this week:
– I made a trip to the library this week
– I bought some books so yay for books! πŸ“š

What I’m watching:

Gilmore Girls; season 4. I was able to watch a few episodes this week, we get the introduction of Gill, Asher and Doyle and I completely forgot about them. It’s fun to re-watch things to re-remember things!

One Tree Hill; season 2. There’s something about transitioning from season 1 to 2 where the production feels more polished and I always miss the grunge look of season 1 – no idea if anyone understands what I mean, but I am enjoying my re-watch and all the sweet Naley moments.

ER; season 15. Last week I asked ‘am I going to cry the whole season?’ I truly think the answer is yes, because these episodes are so sad and the throwbacks are hitting hard too!

Schitt’s Creek; season 2. I’m finally trying to dive back into this show. Season 1 was hilarious and season 2 is proving (with the 2 eps I watched) to be just as good.

The Good Doctor; season 4. This week’s episode was good, but sometimes they really deviate from medicine to focus on Sean’s life – and I get talking about a doctor who has autism is important, but diving into his personal life doesn’t interest me.

Kim’s Convenience; season 5. This week’s episode was really cute. Even though it gets awkward I love when Janet and her dad get these sweet moments. It makes me want to happy cry.

What I’ve watched:

I’ve been watching more Children of the Corn movies, I watched 666 Isaac’s Return and Revelation.

I’m going to end these wrap ups with my Instagram posts of the week… this is going to make my posts look longer than they are because I can’t change the size of the image/links.

  1. Jealous about your trip to the library!! πŸ“š I feel like no matter how much I can discover new books online there’s nothing like coming across a hidden gem on a shelf (+ I’m more likely to read it knowing it has to go back πŸ˜‚). Hope you have a great February! βœ¨πŸ’•

    1. It was just curb-side pick up so I didn’t actually go in. I miss going in and browsing too! Hopefully one day! πŸ˜ƒ

  2. Thank you for linking my post! I love talking Taylor Swift with you, too!

Reading your watch list is my favorite part! Schitts Creek gets PROGRESSIVELY MORE EMOTIONAL, STARTING IN SEASON 2. IT’S A LOT.

    1. You’re welcome!! πŸ˜ƒ Yay!

Oh no! I don’t think I’m prepared! I’ve been watching it in small doses. I just know that I have been sleeping on this show!
