Hello and happy Thursday friends, I can’t believe it’s Christmas Eve! Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates! 🎄 Today I’m going to be posting my review of Kendare Blake’s final novel in the Three Dark Crowns series, Five Dark Fates.

Five Dark Fates by: Kendare Blake: The final novel in the Three Dark Crowns series and the battle is on. The crown has still yet to be won; Katherine and her dead queens could be victorious but Mirabella and Arsinoe are ready to fight the rebellion to be the true queen. This novel started off a little slow and the reader was worried after such a high the previous novel was, that this would be a let-down, but plots started to pick up about halfway through. The second half of the novel was a lot faster paced than the first half and the reader found themselves breezing through. The ending was slightly what the reader was hoping for, but in the end it was satisfying. There was a great battle, life and death hung in the balance and the redemption all made for a great ending. The characters in this novel were well written, they felt slightly two dimensional, but the journeys they all went on really helped their character development. The reader is satisfied with the ending that all the characters got, well maybe except for Mirabella. Overall, this ended the series well and gave the reader a conclusion they weren’t expecting.
