Jingle Bell Book Tag

Hello friends! Happy Thursday! I swear to goodness, every day this week has either felt like Wednesday or Thursday (so glad tomorrow is Friday ๐Ÿ˜‰)
Today I’m going to be doing the Jingle Bell Book Tag. I was tagged by Kristen @The Brunette Bookworm, thanks so much! Make sure to give Kristen a follow for all her fun bookish content! ๐Ÿ˜€

The Jingle Bell Book Tag was created by Richard at ย The Humpo Show. Each of the questions are based on Christmas songs or movies.

1. โ€œAll I Want For Christmas Is Youโ€ฆโ€ | What book do you want to see under the Christmas Tree?

I made a small list (as I do every year) but I think the book I want the most is The Umbrella Academy Vol. 1 (I do want to collect all 3). I used to have the original comics when they came out in 2007, but I haven’t the slightest clue where they went, so I’d love to collect these volumes. Plus the Netflix show is SO good!

2.ย โ€œSimply Having A Wonderful Christmas Timeโ€ฆโ€ | What book that you have read this year have you enjoyed the most?

Oof, that’s a hard one. Gosh. I want to say it’s a tie between You Know Me Well by: Nina LaCour & David Leviathan or Where Am I Now? by: Mara Wilson. Both books just spoke to me in ways that I wasn’t prepared for, but I loved it.

3.ย โ€œItโ€™s Beginning to look a lot like Christmasโ€ฆโ€ | Which book has most festive look to it?

Oh, I’m sure there are so many festive looking books that I could pick from, but out of the books I own, there’s just something about the illustrated Harry Potter books that I find have this festive look to them. It could just be me, but I’m going with it.

4. Elf | What book unleashes your inner child?

Anything I read when I was a child! The first thing that came to mind was A Series of Unfortunate Events. Those books were my favourite growing up… I still want to re-read them for, gosh, the 6th time.

5. The Grinch | Your favourite villainโ€ฆ

Honestly, this hasn’t changed much over the years… I still pick Voldemort, I still truly like him as a villain.

6. The Holiday | Name your favourite TWO couplesโ€ฆ

Hmm, I sometimes wish I was more of a shipper because then answering questions like this would be so easy, but I just don’t find myself shipping people in books… am I alone in this? Please tell me I’m not?!?!

But to answer the question, I enjoyed when Don got together with Rosie in the Rosie Project, as much as they both were quirky, I liked it.
Oh, and I can’t forget Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood… yeah I went there… as much as I’m trying to steer away from that world, I do really like their relationship.

7. What book would you like to give as a present to your followers?

Oh geez, such a loaded question! Honestly, any book that makes you happy. If it was truly up to me I’d totally give everyone The Chalk Man by: C.J. Tudor… SO good… it’s THAT good that I feel like I talk about it in every tag… so yeah, read it!

I’m just going to tag a few of you as Christmas is almost here!!

    1. Ooooohh I don’t have the 4th yet! I just got the third for my birthday, so I don’t expect to have the fourth until next year! But now I look forward to adding it to my collection! ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. omg, the harry potter illustrated editions are the best, and they do look super festive! the illustrations in them are to die for and I can’t believe how skilled the illustrator must be! i think a series of unfortunate events also unleashes the inner child in me, bc that series was the highlight of my childhood. i would love to reread it and see what I think about it now actually!

    1. I agree, the illustrations are incredible!
Haha, me too. I totally suggest re-reading a Series of Unfortunate Events I’ve re-read it twice since I was a kid, once when I was a teen and again in my early 20s… my opinion is still the same! I love them ๐Ÿ™‚

I totally agree with the Harry Potter books as festive looking as well ๐Ÿ™‚ and my go to best villain is also Lord Voldemort … there aren’t many that stand out as well as he does in my opinion ha-ha!

Thank you again! I loved reading this post! โค
